    I rang for an appointment this morning ( non urgent,but important to me). As ever, the receptionist was happy and helpful. She explained the " new system " where surgeries in the area make use of " spare" appointments and send patients to other sites if feasible. Brilliant idea!! I'm happily booked in. So, a huge thank you to Kirkby Primary Care and especially the receptionist team

    Rang up 2wks ago for a prescription that I only have as I need it the receptionist told me I haven't had this since December last Yr 2022 . I suffer from brain fog and could remember when I had it but I knew I had it this year 2023.... so as I couldn't remember I had to make a appointment for 21st December this year this has left me in pain .... my daughter found the box and low and behold I had it this year in July 2023 .... iv just rang and it was the same receptionist that got it wrong before . so I explained all the above telling her the date ..... she couldn't find it . I read her the name on the box describing it and she was trying to say that she had found it but worded it differently at this stage I just said "look its the same thing . She eventually said she will order it ...... anxiety and stress .

    I’ve just called up to book an appointment to see a GP face to face and was told that the next available appointment is over a month away and that would only be a phone call over the phone. Absolute disgrace ! Avoid at all cost ! I think this practice should be taken into special measures. They only have two gps working there on any given day. The death of the NHS as we know it.

    Tried to make an appointment to see a doctor today, started at 8 am this morning. Took me nearly 10 minutes to even get in the queue to have my call answered. Was then no 20 in the queue. 15 minutes later got to number 1 to be told by the receptionist that all the appointments for today had been taken and to phone again tomorrow at 8 am. No doubt I will try tomorrow at 8 am and get the same result.

    I have had an ongoing problem with my ear which is giving me very much distress - a simple remedy of ear wax removal is apparently going to take upwards of another month - having seen three doctors over a period of six months with various diagnosis I am no further forward I received no sympathy when speaking to reception just told "the computer says no" As a pensioner who is already stretched with the cost of living I find I have no choice but to pay for it to be done privately.Disgusted

    I've been unable to take my medication as prescribed for nearly 6 months because of supply issues, and they refuse to consider prescribing me that medication in a different format. When they finally prescribed me the alternative I asked for the order with my pharmacy was cancelled without warning and I was put back on the same medication I've been telling them for months I've been unable to get. This practice doesn't care what you need help with, they only want to get you out the door as soon as possible.
