   This GP surgery used to be small with 2 GP’s and a very informal service. It has now amalgamated with several other surgeries and the whole service has deteriorated. When you call for an appointment you are lucky if you get one within 2 weeks. I recently had hip surgery and was trying to get an appointment to see the nurse to get the staples out of my hip within 10-14 days. It was 17 days before I got my appointment and 4 staples were embedded under the skin. My recent most serious incident was with my grandson. I took photos of his skin and sent them to the surgery. Got an email back telling me to make an appointment. I couldn’t even get an emergency appointment. So we went went to the Royal Free A&E and waited 5 and a half hours. Would have been longer had I not said I was leaving. Was given antibiotics but no tests. 2 days later I rushed him to UCH hospital where he was admitted with Eczema Herpeticum. A potentially life threatening condition. Sad as it is my GP surgery has now deteriorated beyond all measure. As a family we are very concerned about the future for us as I’m an older person and my grandchildren all have asthma and eczema. The people who answer the phone appear to untrained and it’s always a different person from some central surgery.
