  1. Review titled Amazing Experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have recently registered to this doctors and only needed to speak to someone twice and both times have been amazing. My old doctors didn't help this much and I was with them for two years. Definitely staying with this practice!

  2. Review titled useless

Rated 1 star out of 5

Twice now I have ordered a prescription for the gp to leave it way too long to approve it to the point where I had to beg my pharmacy and 111 for any spare needles since I am diabetic and would die without them. Edge Hill is the most useless GP practice and I cannot wait to move away from Liverpool so I can register somewhere else.

  3. Review titled From Bad to Worse.

Rated 1 star out of 5

Yet again !! after putting a prescription request in to the surgery box which was so full I had to push it in, it was not processed 9 days later. After waiting a long time to be answered on the phone by an unusually polite lady , who offered her apologies, put forward the delayed prescription and other items that I am going to be due very soon to my chemist right away. After experience of yet another failing of the surgery for prescriptions' and also trying to get an appointment all the time , I am seriously thinking of changing my surgery!!!

  5. Review titled no one there for my appointment /poor communication

Rated 1 star out of 5

following blood tests arranged a follow up appointment with practice nurse as the Mossley Hill practice I double checked that was where the appointment was at time of booking. When I turned up at the appointed time the practice was closed due to staff training no communication regarding this clash. I took time out of work and I am struggling to understand why an appointment was made for a Thursday when training is scheduled. Since this practice has been incorporated within the Edge Hill practice it is impossible to get through on the telephone I have tried twice today after 41 mins on hold i was advised there is a problem with the phone (couldn't have advised me that they have a problem with the phone sooner) again second call trying to establish what went wrong with my appointment and rearrange this I am unable to get through. I would hate to be seriously ill ....

I have been a patient at this surgery for many years although I have never needed their resources but when I did they were professional and extremely helpful. From the doctors to the fabulous admin staff who have done their upmost and gone above and beyond

  7. Review titled Fantastic Practice

Rated 4 stars out of 5

It always seems that people never hesitate to write a bad review but find it more difficult to write a good one? I think the whole of the staff, from the reception through to the GP are amazing and have a very hard job trying to keep everyone happy. The receptionist went out of their way to accommodate my request and even showed me, step by step how to download and sign up for the MyGP app in which now its super easy to order my prescriptions. The GP i saw was superb, I did not feel rushed and I felt listened too. I don't think you can really ask for much more from a surgery which is clearly trying their hardest to make each person's visit as pleasant as possible.

  8. Review titled Good GP but Rude reception staff

Rated 3 stars out of 5

Since starting with the practise a few years ago, I've always had no problems with my doctors themselves, they always seem very pleasant and happy to help, it is just unfortunate that I can't say the same thing for the receptionist. Most of the time like any other GP there is a queue or a hold you're put onto before speaking to a receptionist, however I have never encountered a more rude member of staff that as answered the phone majority of the times that I have had to call. It seems as if its an inconvenience for her that people have medical issues and are needing help, and I find her tone and attitude very disrespectful anytime she deals with answering my call, even if I have followed each step before ultimately having to call the doctors themselves. It is getting to the point now where I will start looking for another GP due to this very rude and unprofessional manner that is either being accepted by everyone at the practise or no one is aware of the appalling behaviour. I've put off complaining about this for a while as I wasn't sure if I was overthinking the behaviour I've come across, but looking at other people's reviews and complaints, I'm obviously not the first. The management of Edge hill health Centre need to look further into this and re train their staff or they need to be bothered enough to find people who can empathise with others who are obviously having enough troubles. The least of anyone's worries should be calling a GP and dreading if a certain receptionist is going to answer the phone so much so that they don't when they need to for their own health.
