I’m not a regular to the GP surgery but on the last 2 occasions I felt that the doctor took time to listen and was very attentive, and gave me honest and valid advise

  2. Review titled Covid and flu jabs

Rated 5 stars out of 5

As per usual the drive through service (held last weekend at Gipton Fire Station) for flu and covid vaccinations was excellent. We were guided through seamlessly from start to finish, great organisation. Thank you to everyone helping on the day, it was cold but you all had a welcoming smile for the patients. A good job well done.

  3. Review titled Exemplary Practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have nothing but praise for the team at Colton Mill; from first contact with the reception team to my face to face appointments with the doctors or nurses I have always felt listened to and valued. Nothing is too much trouble. They have a patient centred approach and a can do attitude that is invaluable in this field. Advice, treatment and onward referrals have been helpful, timely and appropriate. I cannot fault the on-going care and support I am receiving.

  4. Review titled Helped my family who was struggling

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Kristina Towning - Posted on 13 December 2022

The admiral nurse at Colton Mill has provided life-changing support for my family who are affected by my father having dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. The admiral nurse came to us at the right time because we needed help but we didn’t know who to turn to. The admiral nurselistened to us and she had the knowledge to solve our problems. The admiral nurse recognised that my family were at crisis point and helped us manage complex needs, she considered the person living with dementia and the people around them and organised a life changing solution. The admiral nurse is a credit to the area and an admiral nurse is a service that was needed, massively ! Thanks once again.

So all week i have been trying to make an appointment as before they will prescribe my next prescription of sertraline they want to review me. (Ive had 2 reviews in the 2 years ive been in on it due to post natel depression) and i couldn't get through at all, i tried booking online but there was nothing so i did the E consult as made a note of me trying to contact with avail and i need a review asap for my meds, that was rejected. I finally got through fri pm but there was obviously no apps and my meds have run out and all i can do is try again tomorrow. Its disgusting. Ive been with them years and since covid they have just gone down hill!!!! Waste of time.

  6. Review titled Very frustrating

Rated 3 stars out of 5

As a new patient my experience so far has been frustrating. Before my first appointment I spent hours trying to contact the hospital to get recent test results sent through to the GP so she would have all the information relevant to my situation. The surgery rang me the day before to confirm receipt of the info from the hospital. When I attended at the surgery the doctor said they hadn't got them! The whole appointment was spent fruitlessly trying to find them. I had to ring the hospital in front of the doctor to ask them to email them through again. Today, on hospitals advice, I rang the surgery to request the doctor write to the hospital to expedite my latest referral. The frustration and treatment I received was unacceptable. Being told they don't do it, even though it was a request from the hospital. Being told I'd have to make an appointment to see the doctor for them to consider it, to give all the information about my medical problem to the doctor, albeit I'd already told it to the doctor at my appointment 2 weeks ago (!). Couldn't make me an appointment for a number of weeks so I'd have to ring in on the day. Then, having told me that a certain receptionist (whose name I have) rings me later at the doctors request make me an appointment to give them further info which, for the 2nd time today, I said I could have given had my previous appointment not been wasted looking for the hospital email with my test results. She then wanted me to tell her everything I'd just td the first receptionist today (unreasonable). I told her I was not going through it yet again and I was in the middle of my meal at which she said, quite rudely, to me "well I'd better let you get on with your meal then". I was about to ask her was she not going to make an appointment then when I realised she'd put the phone down on me. I was incensed. Disgusting. I've now had a text telling me to put it all in writing, like I've nothing else to spend my time doing. Disgraceful. A shambles and disgusting treatment of patients.
