    Very happy with my treatment today. The reception staff are always lovely, polite and helpful. The doctor gave me time and worked with me to find a solution to my problem. Also offered good advice moving forwards which I very much appreciated.

    The Dr's at this practice are brilliant. They listen and discuss your needs. They take the time to understand and identify your needs. I have only been here just under a year. The best move I have made registering at this Dr's reminds me of the doctors practices of years gone by. So I am very happy 😊 the receptionist are fab too.

    I’m a fairly new patient at Dudley Wood and have had only good experiences. Whenever I have needed an appointment I’ve managed to get one on the same day and have got straight through the reception when calling. The reception staff are always helpful and lovely to speak to. I’ve always found the Doctors to be very thorough and very professional. Would definitely recommend to others.

    Dear Hollie, Thank you for your kind feedback. Our reception staff and clinical staff work together to ensure that we can get you to see a GP or clinical professional on the day. When we are fully booked we offer appointments at the Winter Hub (Shire Oak surgery) so that our service users never miss out on seeing a clinician in a timely manner.     I had an appointment today. We have used this surgery for a long time and our family has been well cared for by the staff. Today was no exception. I had several health issues that I wanted to discuss and I felt that I was dealt with in a very patient and kind manner. I was listened to carefully and not rushed in any way. it was no problem to arrange follow up and I was even given time to discuss something that was not related to my appointment today. All in all a caring and effective practice.

    Helpful staff from the initial phone call through to prompt appointment with the Doctor. The Doctor listened to my problem, examining the area and explained the treatment. Follow up appointment was equally good and all the actions were fully explained.

    The service I received from this GP surgery was disgusting. I sent in a urine sample on Monday as I had a suspected UTI and was also pregnant, no appointment with a GP was available so I was told I would have to call back the next morning if I wanted an appointment. The next evening I had severe cramping, I rang the surgery again to be told ‘you will have to call at 8am tomorrow to see if we have an appointment’ I went on to ring 111, where I ended up in an emergency GP appointment to receive antibiotics. The next day I had more problems so I rang this GP again, and was told yet again to ring back again at 8am the next day. I rang 111 again where I was sent to the urgent care centre at Russell’s hall hospital, where I went on to suffer a miscarriage... fast forward to this morning, 5 days later from my initial urine sample, I receive a text from Dudley wood saying that my sample needs to be repeated, so could I send in a new one today. I rang the surgery to tell them what I had been through this week, and all I received was “oh, I’m sorry”. I understand that the NHS is so stretched and there’s a lack of GP’s at the moment, but the service (or shall I say lack of) and attitudes I was met with was disgusting and I will be registering at a new GP practice.

    Hi Amy Thank you for your comments, and I would like to acknowledge your distress at the service your received from the NHS. When samples can't be read by the pathology services, they request another sample, hence our request for one. We have taken on further clinical staff, a Physicans Associates, and we offer more acute appointments. We also use online response via our website and Footfall system. We do take all comments received seriously and will endeavor to be of better service. Our reception team training needs will be re-examined to ensure that all our service user contacts are duly treated with care and respect.
