Single filling and during treatment found a second feeling necessary.. the doctor suggested doing both at sine time. This worked out well. It meant being anaethetised only once and additional visit not required.

Really good dentist, assistant and treatment. However, the receptionist was terrible. Very short and abrupt on the phone and no better in person. Not at all welcoming.

Not taking nhs patients - no children either! Very rude too. Changed tune when she realised there were two private adults too that would register but couldn’t back track on no new nhs for my 4 year old. Awkward and not somewhere I’d like to go if that’s how they treat enquiries

Removal of wire retainer which has been in place for 10 years and scale and polish. The result was absolutely superb. I strongly recommend the professionalism of the dentist who attended to me.

The receptionist phoned me with a short notice cancellation availability. I was delighted about this as I had requested the possibility. The hygienist was up to time and respectful of my efforts to keep my teeth in good condition. She was thorough and professional in her treatment.

I received treatment for a troublesome broken tooth. The dentist worked with great professionalism, incorporating a modern holistic approach. I was given wise advice for aftercare and all the staff treated me as always with dignity and politeness. This practice has taken care of me and my children for many years and have no doubts to fully recommend them.

A really excellent dentist. My 10 year old has a learning disability and autism which makes it very difficult to clean his teeth. This dentist understood. Despite the time pressure she took the trouble to manually clean plaque from his teeth and explain which teeth to focus on in particular. It was all done in a cheerful, kind and professional manner which helped both my child and myself. Very many thanks!

I am a NHS patient. The Great Shelford Dental Surgery has always been first class in every respect since I moved here nine years ago. Friendly, courteous and very efficient. I already have the date of my next six month check-up! They surpassed themselves last Friday 28th October 2022. I was on holiday in the Peak District enjoying my porridge breakfast when my right side eye tooth, an implant, fell out. I immediately phoned my dental practice and they made a time slot of 3.30 for that day so I could have the tooth re-implanted!! That meant I had enough time for the journey home! When I got there the surgery was very busy yet I was able to have my tooth sorted without a long wait. Courteous and friendly……and very efficient and caring…….and that is their consistent standard. I would recommend them unhesitatingly. With grateful thanks….Valerie Phoenix

The main text of your review: Probably like most, I have always disliked a visit to the Hygienist as it’s usually a painful one. That was not the case on this occasion. It was the best Hygienist experience I have ever had. Not only were my teeth cleaned quickly and with lots of communication, there was no pain. It was the first time I have attended a Hygienist appointment that didn’t hurt! Thank you for being so professional and I look forward to my next visit.
