  1. Review titled Fantastic service despite long wait

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 22 May 2023

I attended with my daughter - was quickly seen through triage and warned the wait could be around 4 hours however we were out within 3 hours. All the staff were so kind and helpful but especially the GP who saw my daughter. He was so kind and patient with her as she was nervous. Thank you for the service you provide

  2. Review titled Caring, quick and effective

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I visited at 7pm at night as my son had a swollen finger with a splinter imbedded. Every member that we dealt with was kind and caring. They were quiet at the time so we were in an out in around 30 minutes.

  3. Review titled Unprofessional

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 18 March 2023

Unprofessional staff, advertised as open till 9, I arrive at 8pm with an hour to spare which I didn’t see a problem, it’s a walk in centre and it closes at 9, I didn’t want to even go because I felt stupid but this place makes you feel stupid! Reception staff look at each other rolling their eyes as if to say why has this person come at this time, looking at their watches making you feel like you shouldn’t come for advice/reassurance and made a comment about going to a&e instead. (Why would I go to a&e when we have walk in centres? What are walk in centres for then?) I was triaged and then called by the ‘nurse’ who didn’t even examine me, put a pulse oximeter on my finger and handed me a piece of paper with the hub written on it with a number, telling me to call them as coming at that time is not a good time and I should arrive before 7 if I want to be seen (clearly wanted to get off home on time). No care or compassion, prisoners in jail get better care and service than I did this day. Didn’t even look at my problem just fobbed me off!

  5. Review titled My Treatment

by Careangel - Posted on 23 September 2022

I attended the walk-in centre at Leigh infirmary yesterday, the receptionist and the young nurse who originally saw me and took my details were both lovely, however, instead of a nurse then dressing my legs it was a young physiotherapist that called me in. From the beginning it was plain they didn't want to do it he started with saying this should be the district nurse's job, they hardly spoke to me and started to clean my legs it was like they were scrubbing the kitchen floor, i told them they were really hurting me, and I am not soft, they just carried on, they then told me to leave but i told them I was suppose to be having a tetnus injection, they tuted and went away to get it, they then gave me that and advised me to ring the district nurses for the first appointment. I was really made to feel I shouldn't have been there, I do think they should have some lessons in how to deal with people I am 77yrs old and don't use this service unless I have to but was made to feel I went for nothing by them. I have had nothing but bad pain in one of my legs since he scrubbed it.
