Was call to school as my 5 year old Grandson had trapped his finger. On arrival we only had to wait 5 minutes to be called and sent up to children AE .We was seen as soon as we arrived then sent for X-ray ,was seen very quickly then back to see the doctor .Everyone treated us brilliantly ,could not believe how they made a very upset little guy feel at ease.Very great full for all the care that was given today .

  2. Review titled Great team x Ray department

I have been to the X-ray department three times. They have been wonderful and provide exceptional services to patients, regardless of your background. They are accommodating when the appointment times don't suit you. All in all, they value life

  4. Review titled Great paramedic

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 05 April 2023

Two paramedics attended my dad at home today. They were fab! They were really thorough, and reassuring. They listened really well to his current needs, and long medical history, and had great bedside manner. He had fallen after feeling faint, and they checked him over, and were patient with him. We felt like we were in safe hands, and they were friendly and respectful. Thank you

  6. Review titled Made me better

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Peter Chapman - Posted on 06 August 2022

Admitted via A/E after a long wait due to very busy period but as soon as doctor assessed me he actioned and prepared me for emergency surgery ( thank you to him) admitted to ward under the care of the surgical team and after 7 hour surgery and 3 hours in recovery I am doing well. The surgeon and his team did a brilliant job on removing infected abdominal mesh and stabilising my incarcerated hernias. The ward nurses and care team were so attentive and caring and looked after me superbly during the post operative period: I feel very lucky that I got the right health professionals at the right time and in the right place. Being told before surgery how risky it was and they will do their very best for me and they did do their best and beyond. I want to thank each and everyone of you for your care and professionalism throughout my interactions at Tameside Hospital

  7. Review titled Outrageous

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Tina Chadwick - Posted on 12 August 2022

My husband was advised to go to the accident and emergency department on 11/8/2022 because of his background history of sepsis and the removal of his sacrum 5 months ago.He was in a delirious and confused state of mind and couldn’t recall anything for a short time, and was told he could of had a mini stroke. He was sat in the A&E for 19 hours before being seen by a doctor, the receptionist we’re very rude and nothing was private. Absolutely outraged by this and the whole experience was an absolute disgrace.

I was sorry to read about your husband’s experience when he attended the Emergency Department at Tameside Hospital. The Hospital has seen an increase in activity and acuity within the Department and this has unfortunately increased waiting times during busy periods. However patient safety remains a priority at all times and I am very sorry that your husband’s experience was not positive and for the behaviours that you have described. So that we can review this in more detail, please could you contact the PALS and Complaints Team on 0161 922 4466 or email palsandcomplaints@tgh.nhs.uk. This is so we can review the treatment your husband received in more detail and provide an appropriate response. Thank you for taking the time to share your comments, we have also shared your feedback directly with the Emergency Department for learning so that they are aware of your husband’s experience.

  8. Review titled Great practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Mrs Kathleen Bell - Posted on 06 July 2022

Yesterday (06/07), I visited the Walk-in-Centre at Tameside General Hospital, because I had a rash on my legs. I was asked if I wanted to take part in a survey, regarding diabetes and I said yes. I was then tested to see if I was diabetic and thankfully I wasn't. However because the number was 40, I was given advice regarding food and walking etc., which could prevent me catching diabetes. Due to the fact that I was once a diet cook, in a Bolton hospital and I worked under the supervision of a Dietician, I would recommend anyone to have the test and take part in the survey, if they are asked to do so.

  9. Review titled Horrendous hospital with failure

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 25 April 2022

Currently sat in AE came here with chest pains, been one hour not even triage yet. I had to ask reception and told 5 more people before you. I know that with chest pains you should be seen via triage or bloods ecg within a small time frame even if without seeing triage before. This hospital is failing in its care for myself and others. Disgraceful
