    We did a parenting course called invest in play and it has been really helpful to me and my family. I have come away with skills to help me now and in the future for both me and my little girls xxx

  4. Review titled Given tools to manage my child’s behaviour

    The course was great! It gave me the tools to manage my child’s behaviour and feel much stronger and happier as a parent. The smaller group enabled me to feel more comfortable and open up more.

    I went for a ultra sound for my shoulder and left feeling quite embarrassed. I went in to the room with two members of staff and the first thing the doctor says to me was to take my top off, no hello my name is or I am going to be doing this today. I asked them if they have a gown, they said no in what I felt was a rude manner, and gave me bed tissue paper to cover my chest. I felt ashamed, stood there. When they had finished I asked the doctor what they had seen, and they said your doctor will contact you but there is some inflammation. It wasn't a very good visit.

    I contacted the advice line after having some concerns about my young daughter’s most recent bout of stuttering and also to get some advice regarding the night time potty training process. Ali was amazingly supportive about my concerns. I felt listened to and she offered helpful evidence-based advice and signposted me to a couple of websites for further help and support too. She showed concern and was able to arrange a referral for my daughter’s stuttering and followed up with an email the next day regarding the issues we had spoken about during our call. Really happy with the service, thank you so much for your support and guidance!

  7. Review titled Feeling more relaxed and reassured

    I had the opportunity to meet with our school nurse team to discuss some concerns with my daughter’s sleep. The nurse reassured me and suggested that she have a chat with my daughter to understand things further. We’ve now had two sessions with the nurse and following both sessions I’ve received an update over the phone. Both my daughter and I have been provided with strategies to help at night time and we’re making really good progress. My daughter is feeling more confident and as a whole family we’re feeling more relaxed and reassured. We can’t thank the team enough.

  8. Review titled I was lost before but now feel like I've been found.

    I feel better and enhanced, more relaxed. I feel close to the group and staff, I feel that I can open up more and feel more friendly. I was lost before but now feel like I've been found. The children are more relaxed, happier and confident. We are all calmer as a family.

    There were presentations and breakout discussions. It was very informative although did repeat a lot from the webinar. The breakout session was very helpful where we discussed bedtime routine and it was nice having a face to face session.

    I wanted advice about weaning and to book my baby in to be weighed so I phoned my local advice line. Someone answered the phone quickly and was able to help me with both queries and signposted me to other services too. I was off the phone within 5 mins which was great.
