  1. Review titled Very Grateful

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Lauren - Posted on 22 March 2024

So incredibly grateful to the two kind, thorough and compassionate medics who assisted me last week. I felt immediately safe and looked after and on now learning what I had, I believe they saved my life. I know being a medic is sometimes a thankless job with ungrateful people so I wanted to let the The two 'A's' know they are superwomen x

  2. Review titled Very Professional

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Mac - Posted on 08 February 2024

Had to use nhs telephone service a week ago as wife's asthma had got progressively worse over the past few months and there is no chance of actually seeing a Dr at our current Drs surgery in Eastbourne. The nhs telephone service nurse asked a few questions before saying she would send an ambulance. A team of two paramedics (professional young men) arrived about fifteen minutes later and they were fantastic. They did all the tests including blood oxygen, listening to lungs and ecg as well applying a nebuliser cycle and then taking the time to explain options (a&e / Dr / Use of a more qualified paramedic) for steriods & anti-biotics - which they felt was the right course of treatment. It was decided for them to phone our Dr but even using their dedicated line (not the normal Dr surgery switchboard) they could not get through (tried for over half an hour). They also discussed options with their base service desk who also thought the Dr was the most appropriate course of action. They then physically went to the Drs surgery and spoke with the duty Dr - confirming their tests and decisions. About an hour later we got a call from the duty Dr and confirmed the prescription which I went to pick up. The two paramedics were brilliant from arrival to departure and went over and above by visiting the Dr's surgery and we can not thank them enough for their time, dedication and professionalism. We are so lucky to have the nhs - (in this case nhs telephone service / Paramedics and eventually the Dr) even with the system being so pressurised. If possible please pass on our thanks (telephone nurse & Paramedics) - my wife is now a lot better now and continuing to improve.

I was needing help with a medical problem yesterday and I really did not want to waste the ambulance precious time , so for the first time in 45 years one was dispatched to me, first of all they made me feel safe and then reassured me I had in no way wasted their time , I thin they are wonderful people who work so hard in very difficult situations in the times we are living in , sometimes when we are in need of help and are dealing with a problem we forget they are living human beings and our manners are forgotten at the end of the dawhat would you do if they did not exist??? so please remember they are human beings and remember some manner help thank you for helping me yesterday I'm very grateful

I would just like to thank the staff who picked me up from my doctor's practice the other day. You are both a credit to your profession. You knew I didn't want to go to hospital and that I was quite upset about the prospect. Thanks to you both I was transferred from A/E very quickly. You were both professional, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you so very much for your care

Middle of the night - responded to my crisis with calm listening and understanding, competence and perfect teamwork, and gave good advice which I have followed. I wish I could thank them personally - no praise is enough. It's not just a job, but gives reassurance and hope

  7. Review titled Great Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Janet Trayner - Posted on 09 January 2024

I called the Emergency Service for a sick friend. Not a long wait. Three young ambulance crew who were efficient, worked swiftly, diagnosed, treated and transferred my friend to hospital. We could not thank them enough. Not only were they spot on with the diagnosis they were thoughtful, kind and mindful of the fact that my friend suffering from cancer was extremely anxious. Thank you South East Coast Ambulance Team. Keep up the good work. The NHS needs staff like you.

  9. Review titled Superb

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Lorraine - Posted on 09 December 2023

The paramedics that treated my father after a fall outside were caring and compassionate and treated him with dignity. They were able to treat him at home which prevented us being in A and E for what could of been hours and a specialist paramedic came not long after they had settled my father indoors to attend to his wounds and contacted his gp for a follow up in a couple of days. Excellent care given. Cannot thank them enough, superb.
