was seen within 30 minutes with no prior booking. The staff there were professional kind and helpful. The lady I seen about my ear really helped me in getting treatment. She was knowledgeable and extremely kind and reassuring. Thank you.

I’ve just returned home after a colonoscopy at the Hartlepool unit. Obviously I was concerned but I was reassured totally by the nurse who explained the procedure. From then on every member of staff was superb. Special thanks to the person who performed my procedure. I really couldn’t have been in better hands. He really was the complete professional and a lovely fella. The whole experience was truly awe inspiring. As a massive supporter and advocate of the NHS I’m delighted to report that at its best it really is the best in the world. My heartfelt thanks to the entire staff of the Rutherford Morrison Ward. Each and every one of you deserves a medal.

Cannot praise the staff enough including reception for patience and kindness, following a telephone assessment I was given an appointment at my convenience for a F2F assessment. The staff showed understanding and kindness, I was seen bang on time and immediately given emergency treatment, given time to rest, my condition, further explained future care and a prescription. The Nurse Practitioner involved was calm, caring, patient and knowledgeable, she reassured me and made me feel relaxed. I cannot thank the NHS workers enough for keeping me well.

Day surgery case ,needed general anaesthesia.from start to finish,such kind care by everyone.fully informed all the way through.busy unit ,but calm.clean .the staff are the beating heart of this hospital,I hope they do know how much we appreciate them.

I recently attended for a colonoscopy and biopsies and have to say all of the staff were fantastic in terms of their patient care, explanations and support, and in ensuring dignity before after and during n procedure which can be unpleasant, and beforehand I was worried about. I would not be worried if I had to undergo such a procedure again. I also think being given what results can be given straight away is fantastic. Thank you.

Attended for a gastroscopy and was quickly put at ease by every member of staff who I encountered. The whole team were really friendly and the process from admission to discharge was extremely efficient. I felt the staff members within the procedure went above and beyond to make me feel as comfortable as possible. A really excellent team who I would highly recommend!

Extremely friendly and reassuring. The Rutherford Morrison unit is very clean and modern. All staff from the reception to the consultant were caring and professional. As a young person this was a very daunting appointment to have but they made it a lot easier. Results were well explained and the report was personal to me rather than just jargon.

I was asked to choose an hospital after my GP refereed me for surgery, so choose North Tees. However, after seeing a surgeon at North Tees who said I'd get the surgery in three to six months, he sent me to the pre easement at North Tees, but the receptionist said "no, you are going to Hartlepool", which was eight month ago. Now the Hernia has got that bad now I'm almost housebound, with my small intestines filling my scrotum up. My complaint is, what is the point of sending me a letter asking me to choose a hospital only for a receptionist to change it. I know there is a backlog due to the lockdown, which has harmed more people than it was supposed to help, but keeping me informed on when I will get the surgery would give me hope and help me cope with the depression I'm in now, due to not knowing when I'll get surgery to alleviate the pain and discomfort i'm in now.

I attended for a DEXA scan at short notice due to a cancellation. From reception to scanning the procedure was managed in a timely and professional manner. The radiologist was pleasant and friendly - despite being very busy she was also patient and helpful.

At 1830, Monday night,23rd of may,I had been referred to north tees urgent care department ,a scan had shown a shadow on each of my lungs. The very excellent staff quickly diagnosed the residents problem,and gave medication for that night,and let me home about 2130,with the instructions that Hartlepool hospital pharmacy had a prescription for me to collect that following morning; today ! I saw the consultant at lunch time today,then went to the pharmacy, for the remaining medication,and was refused, by the pharmacist,saying,"it had been cancelled that morning", by telephone. Her attitude was firm, which,I did not mind, but condescending,when,at the counter,she tried to have me calculate the dosage with her, saying.i had the full prescription, and too many people were involved. I had to prove by photography to home, before she would confirm my case. Both hospitals , I have always found exemplary,and have been dumbfounded by this. Kind regards .
