  2. Review titled Very officiant and professional

Rated 5 stars out of 5

From my initial consultation to a week later my mediastineoscopy was performed. Admission to ward was executed with no issues. Surgery and after care was outstanding. All staff and departments worked hand in hand, communicating all the time. Discharge was ready with medication from the pharmacy in hand. I would highly recommend the Royal Papworth Hospital to anyone. Thank you all staff who looked after me.

  3. Review titled Wonderful Hospital

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I visited the surgery pre admission for a lung operation. I was at the hospital for 3.5 hours during this time I visited 6 departments. From the start to th end of my visit it went like clockwork seeing one department after the other. The efficiency of all of the staff were marvellous and gave me reassurance. With thanks to all of your staff and your wonderful Hospital. Peter Williamson

  4. Review titled Unsatisfactory

Surgery excellent. However, admin support sadly lacking. MyChart not updated, only on blood test results. Lack of empathy is wards after surgery - patients cleared out without consideration of individual needs. Lack of feedback after operation

  5. Review titled Excellent

Rated 5 stars out of 5

It's one year since my mitral valve repair. Open heart surgery is a grim experience but the care from all the staff was exemplary - and that's the opinion of a retired nurse. The food wasn't the finest but the ward had a fridge for patients so my family could bring stuff in. One year later I am fighting fit and very thankful.

  6. Review titled The NHS at its best

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Jan Taylor - Posted on 14 January 2023

Since my referral to Papworth a few months ago for aortic valve replacement, I have nothing but praise for everyone involved in the cardiac teams that took care of me - the nurses, doctors, consultants and all the technical and domestic staff. At every stage in my evaluation and treatment I was dealt with by individuals who showed the highest levels of care and competence. What could have been a somewhat forbidding experience was transformed into a sequence of events that boosted my confidence and put me at relative ease. Please ensure that my profound thanks is passed on to all those in the TAVI team and to all staff involved in my pre- and post-operative care in Ward 3 South-East. With all my best wishes and thanks.

From the front reception desk to the medical staff the professionalism and caring of all the people I met was second to none. They put you at ease and kept you informed every step of the way.

An incredible hospital with fantastic staff. I was in for a pacemaker box swap. The staff made me feel safe and comfortable at all times. And the professionalism and respect of all the medical staff was impeccable. The most impressive hospital I've ever been to.

  9. Review titled Outstanding clinic

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by David Anthony - Posted on 13 August 2022

Was requested to attend Sleep Clinic on Aug 11 to exchange my CPAP unit. Have always found this clinic extremely efficient and same applied Aug 11. Needed advice during COVID pandemic telephone answered within 2 minutes, discussed problem with nurse, immediate advice which proved 100% effective. Paragon of a clinic.

Completely outstanding service from start to finish. The hospital, staff, level of care was second to none we really could not of wished for a better service, it’s spotlessly clean, very friendly staff only to happy to help and try there best to explain in my a non medical term for us to understand. If all hospitals had this level of care and professionalism what a wonder world it would be. A huge thank you to all the staff for everything you have done for our family.
