  1. Review titled Crisis intense team

Rated 1 star out of 5

One of the staff misgender me when she was in the same room as me. I wasn't given enough time. One of the staff walked out after 10 mins. Another staff member was more bothered about her next appointment as she had a interpreter booked. Staff was always turning up late. The doctor, social worker, other professionals and me have asked them to come out when I was under they care but they refused. They told the police they would do a face-to-face assessment on me that day or the next day but never did. The staff told me to get a job but I can't as I can't even look after myself. One of the staff that answers the phone was very abrupt to me on a lot of the phone calls. She didn't pass message on and pretend she didn't know who the manger was and when I asked for the manger by name she would say she wasn't there or no one with that name works there. She would also say the staff was busy with sick people and put the phone down on me. I was discharged from this service even though I'm still in crisis. They've told someone they've given me coping strategies and how to prevent crisis when they haven't. All they've gone on about is a hope box which doesn't help. They've given me a safety plan when near the end of discharging me. I don't agree with the safety plan. It says to phone them when I'm in crisis but how can I phone them if they've discharged me ? They is no dates on it. When they've discharged me they've added more to it. The care coordinator read it out and I don't agree with it. Why can't this team see that the past doesn't interested me and stop telling me to do things I used to like doing ? They website says they can come out out a few times a day or everyday but this isn't the right information. They've told me to go back to groups that I don't want to go to.

  2. Review titled awful experience

Rated 1 star out of 5

was told to dial one for the crisis team, both times I did and the woman on the other end told me I had dialled the wrong number and told me to dial three. I did that and was put on hold for 20 minutes and have received no help. When i do get through to them they never have anything useful to say. They try to put me on SSRI medication constantly instead of offering emotional support.

Someone phoned me from the crisis team. She got my name wrong. She said do I want to talk and I said " I'm waiting for you to finish talking as you started a sentence and didn't finish it off". She was not speaking but listening in to see what she could hear so I put the phone down on her

  4. Review titled Not listened to.

Rated 1 star out of 5

They keep telling me to use a hope box which doesn't help. I keep telling them that but they listen. They put down there coming out everyday but they not. Messages are not being past on. No coping techniques are given. All they say is go use your hope box, watch TV, go eat. How can I eat when I don't feel hungry or how can I watch TV when I can't concentrate. They tell me to think of my own destructions but how can I when I struggle to think for myself. Some of the staff that pick up the phone are very rude and put the phone down on me for asking a question about my health. Can hear the staff talking about me before they come in my house and after they leave. So my neighbour can hear them talking about me as well. My health has got worse since they've been involved.

It's great to hear that you and your husband were provided with great care from the NHS. However this feedback is for our neighbouring Trust - Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust (LTHT) who oversee the care provided by Leeds General Infirmary. I will pass on this message of thanks to them. Kind Regards Louisa Weeks Patient and Carer Experience and Involvement Lead - LYPFT

  6. Review titled Absolute dreadful experience

You may as well just get rid of Leeds mental health services, because from my experiences it doesn’t work! Not sure if it’s because their are so busy, or just simply have ran out of duty to care It’s scary to see how bad mental health services are actually getting. I feel very sorry for people like me, who keeps suffering.

We don’t want anyone to feel like this. Please can you contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on 0800 052 5790 and give them your contact details so that you can be linked up with someone who can respond directly to you.
