Quick fast response,caring staff,they took the time to comunicate with myse m lf and my husband.The inital speed was unfotrtunetly slowed down due to the bed waiting time. The catering department catered to a point

After referral from my optician, I was invited to the department surprisingly quickly for a timed anppointment and was seen for vision test and pressures test very quickly. But then I had to wait over two hours before being seen by a doctor. The department was very busy and I expected to be patient but it was only when I suggested to a member of staff that I thought I’d been forgotten that I was seen immediately by a doctor, when the examination and treatment was excellent. I wonder if there was a system failure that resulted in my having to wait so long for this treatment after arriving for a specifically timed appointment? It seems more a problem than just running late.

My daughter cut her head open and we wasn’t even there half an hour she was seen straight away and they glued it and was sent on our way. The staff were so polite and made my daughter feel so comfortable!

When giving birth to my son at Barnsley hospital my experience in the labor and delivery ward was nothing short of traumatic and one of the hardest things to experience but the staff that were in the room with me were absolutely phenomenal before during and after my experience. I will admit during my pain I wasn’t the nicest to these ladies or anyone In the room for that matter but when all was done and my son was here I couldn’t apologise enough for my rudeness and all 3 women were completely understanding and didn’t take offence nor treat me any differently and I was extremely grateful for that. Even when my birthing partner went home to get some rest the midwifes were constantly checking to see if I was alright as well as talking to me and keeping me company. The women were amazing people and amazing at their jobs. I was abit disappointed I couldn’t manage to go back with gifts for them both as they all really did deserve to be treated for their amazing hospitality and care for me and my newborn son.

I was there for quite a while, so the appointment wasn’t quick, and I know this can be frustrating at times. However, the team were friendly, thorough and kept me informed throughout the appointment. At the end of my appointment I felt assured with the outcome, the care taken and the information provided.

My daughter was referred to eye clinic with concerning findings from the optician on a Saturday afternoon. That same day we attended the eye clinic & possible diagnosis discussed. Further investigations to elicit diagnosis occurred within 48 hours via MedSDEC - throughout the experience excellent communications, professionalism, efficient & caring staff. Concerns addressed & treatment plan in place.Excellent experience.

I have visited the fracture clinic twice and was very impressed by the helpful friendly staff and the efficiency of the department. The whole experience has been excellent and there are too many names to mention but all staff were wonderful. Well done Barnsley hospital ❤️

From the beginning of my pregnancy right up until I left the hospital with my baby I received the most incredible care from all the medical staff we encountered. We were induced due to concerns with growth and all of the midwives we encountered in the antenatal and postnatal ward were amazing and couldn’t do enough for us. They put my mind at ease and offered support when I needed it. As the induction had failed we had a c section which initially I was very worried and anxious about but all the staff including doctors midwife’s, the anethatis and surgeons etc put my mind at ease. They spoke to us through the whole experience and genuinely cared for me and my baby. They helped relax me and made my birth experience just as magical as any other birth. This hospital has incredible medical professionals who have put the care of me and my baby first, listened to any concerns I had and acted upon their own concerns promptly to enable a safe delivery for both me and my baby girl. Me and my boyfriend will be forever grateful to the staff at Barnsley hospital.

After noticing achange of dry skin I asked a pharmacist who recommended GP. When consulted the recommendation was refer to Dermatology which happened within 2 weeks. The consultant was thorough and answered my questions openly. His conclusion was to excise the problem. This was accomplished in three weeks and have just received pathology result which concurred his opinion. I am greateful, his professionalism and sense of humour at a stressful time for me was appreciated. Thank you

I brought my son in last night (12 years) he was seen very quickly and the staff were amazing with him! They were very thorough, attentive and approachable, just what you expect from children’s medical professionals! Honestly couldn’t fault the service we received. Thank you so much
