  2. Review titled Great medical service

I attended a Saturday clinic on 13/4/2024 at ENT the service was fantastic until I went to get medication that had been prescribed to me. On arrival at the pharmacy to my surprise and many other people standing around who had also been prescribed medication from various clinics it was closed. I was informed but the reception on ENT that the pharmacy was open. If the nhs are going to put on extra clinics to get the back log down as my appointment was a referral made in 2022 but my GP please take into consideration that all the patients seen over the weekend if prescribed any medications now have to go back to the hospital again which is unnecessary and inconvenient both for patients and hospital staff.

  3. Review titled Not so great practice

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Attended because of my tinnitus. The doctor didn't even listen of what I had to say (symptoms) made an assumption that is from magnesium which I'm taking cause I lost my sleep, told me to leave it as it is and off he sent me. Never felt worst in a doctors office not helped at all and trying to be quick. Probably the whole consultation was 3 minutes. Don't recommend it

My recent stay in The Sefton Suite was the best stay I’ve ever had in hospital and this was due to the hard working dedicated friendly and welcoming nurses domestics and catering staff Whilst it is difficult to single anyone out and you say you will not publish names there were a number of staff who deserve a special mention who were particularly outstanding

  7. Review titled Icu nurses excellent

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 04 April 2024

I stayed in Icu for 1 night following major head and neck surgery. The staff/ nurses here were excellent, friendly and caring. They took their time to regularly check on me and everything I needed to make me as comfortable as they possibly could. As soon as I was a little more alert the following day after my surgery I was given a white board and pen as I was unable to speak due to having a tracheostomy fitted. I was able to communicate with the nurses thanks to this to keep me as comfortable as they could if I was in any pain or feeling dehydrated. Everything I needed was quickly dealt with. The nurses took an interest in my work and again was able to communicate using the board as one of their partners worked for the same company at some point. After leaving Icu moving to a ward something of mine had been left behind and the nurse looking after me quickly realised and personally brought the item to the ward I was on. Once moved from Icu onto a standard ward I soon noticed how the level of care seemed to drop and it was more hit and miss if you had a nurse looking after you that seemed to care. Some nurses were great and others seem to avoid you as if you were a hindrance seeming unwilling to want to help you. So again I just wanted to share my thanks to the team and nurses that did look after me in Icu whilst I was there. You are a credit to the nhs. I did try to complete the survey they gave me while in hospital but the qr code could not be recognised. Thank you Once I was moved from Icu into a ward

I was treated for a dental abscess and from initial triage in A and E received nothing but extremely compassionate and professional care. Thank you especially to my particular surgeon and his surgical team for their humour and wit making a nervous patient more relaxed.

  9. Review titled Great care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I recently attended Aintree hospital for an angiogram. The doctor who did it had an awful hard job as my arteries were curled, he did at one stage think he would have to leave it until another day, but he worked so hard and did not up and he was so concerned that he was hurting me because of my arteries. The care and kindness he showed was amazing. I would give 10 stars if I could as I did not want to come back another day. Thank you so much.

  10. Review titled Traumatic experience

Rated 1 star out of 5

Went to have my eyes checked for Glaucoma (been doing this for 7 years with no problems). Usually I have my eye sight tested first, using the eye chart and then X-rays/photos. Today was very different. It was a late appointment, 5.25pm. I was taken straight to the X-ray machine which was okay, then I was taken to the machine that photographs the eyes, this is where my face was forcibly pushed against the machine by the operator and then she used her fingers to force my eyelids to open as wide as they could. At no time was I asked if this was okay to do. It was a very painful experience. I was then rushed into another room to have my eyesight tested. This was after having my eyes x-rayed and then photographed with flashing lights. How can you have a proper eyesight test when you have been blinded with lights and someone forcing your eyes open? It just seemed as though the staff were rushing to finish and go home. Marks out of ten? Minus ten! I am making a formal complaint to the NHS ☹️
