  1. Review titled Appointment

    by A roberts - Posted on 17 March 2024

I arrived at the pain clinic 15 minutes before my appointment. The receptionist was not their a note on the window said to go in and wait in the waiting room. This I did my appointment time at 1pm came and went. 2 pm I went to find someone, I had sat their for over an hour. I have the far park ticket with time and date as proof. I spoke to receptionist on my way out and explained the situation. Later that next week I received a letter saying I had not attended the appointment and now have been discharged back to gp. I have waited over a year for this appointment. My first appointment was cancelled as I was on my way to the hospital due to staff illness, this was my second attempt to attend an appointment. Not a easy task when you are in chronic pain. I am so disappointed and would value a response to this review

  2. Review titled First baby

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had my baby girl on 30.07.22. Whilst in labour ward i had a midwife looking after me who went above and beyond, she even stayed hours after her shift ended to support me through the birth. The theatre staff were utterly amazing, so professional, supportive and personable. I cannot speak highly enough of them all for keeping me and my daughter safe. Staff on labour ward, particularly the night staff were fantastic!! One negative is that I didn’t feel i had any privacy during the day on the labour ward, staff constantly coming in, most didn’t knock. Not really conducive to recovery - i had surgery or learning to breastfeed.

  3. Review titled Poor service

Rated 1 star out of 5

Reported to A&E as recommend by walk in center with spinal pelvic trauma. After a few cursory questions was told to sit in the waiting room on a hard plastic seat and wait for doctor. After 3 half hours waiting a tanoy announcement said it is at least a 5 hour wait to see a doctor. I was in severe pain . There is no way you can talk to anyone and no one checks in your condition. Occasionally a face will appear from behind a door and shout the name of the next patient but that's all you see of staff.. as I was in so much pain I'm also epileptic and asthmatic I had to leave to go home to get my painkillers and other vital medication. Yes you read that right. I had to go home from A&E to get pain relief medication. The whole experience was worse than appalling it was sheer neglect of duty of care . If there was another hospital to visit I would but sadly there isn't.
