I have just had my 2nd total knee replacement with the excellent team at Huddersfield hospital. The 1st one was 11 months ago and was a complete success. I cannot fault the staff, accommodation or food service at all. The whole package is everything you'd hope for with such complex surgery. On leaving the hospital my pharmacy requirements were tailored to my personal body quirks and drug usage fully explained. Excellent. Thank you!

I was waitinh in the hospital for 10 hours they service is very slow and shocking I would never recommend this to anyone some staff were very rude . I’m hoping I never ever pay a visit to Huddersfield Hospital again I am very upset

I have left hospital today following abdominal surgery. I can’t express how grateful I am for the care I have received. Everyone that helped me was outstanding right from walking into reception to leaving today. The food was great and lots of choice. Nothing was too much trouble. This hospital work as a great team. You can tell they really enjoy their jobs but remain professional. Things are carefully explained which I haven’t always experienced elsewhere. This helps a lot when you are at your most vulnerable. Many thanks for the care you have given me over the last three days it has made a big difference to my first stages of recovery. Keep up the fantastic work!

My mother has been in hospital for a week after having a hip replacement after an accident at work. The staff at the hospital have been amazing not complaining about the care, but the food she has been served has been way below standard. On one of the days, not only did they forget to give her lunch but they also forgot her evening meal. When she notified them the had nothing warm left. She was given a tiny salad with a little pot of cheese. Even when we tried to bring edible food into the hospital there was no facility to warm it up (or so we was told). On the second day she was given a tiny potato which was black inside with a little pot cheese and no butter. I appreciate that the service is on a budget but there is no excuse for serving substandard food and being forgotten altogether. On the 4th day she ordered something she was looking forward to and it was warm, as soon as it turned up she then had to go for a scan, again food was wasted because there was no facilities to potentially warm it up so another meal missed. Nobody enjoys being in hospital but she has spent the majority of time in hospital not eating. Pretty disappointed to be honest.

I went in very very nervous and afraid of the unknown and the second i got onto the ward i felt at ease. Every single member of staff was so calming and so lovely. The two ladies with the anaesthetist were amazing, 2 of the most lovely nurses i have ever had. Second i got back into the ward i was looked after so well from the lovely lady who brought my food to the nurses. Thank you so much to you all for making a scary situation not so scary in the end!
