This practise has looked after my wife and I for over 50 years. Many doctors have come and gone/retired. But we have admired their care and dedication over the years. Well done Andy, Gerry and team. Long love the NHS

  3. Review titled Appalling

To say i'm not happy is an understatement! I had an ecg on tuesday and was told if i didn't hear anything back everything was fine. I then missed 2 calls from the doctor on the thursday at 1:39pm these calls were missed because i was at work and i work somewhere where i cannot have my phone on me. I called the doctor back within 1 minute and i have proof of this and i was told by the receptionist i'd missed the slot and the doctor would call me at 6pm. This in itself is not acceptable, why should i have to wait 4 hours to speak to the doctor who called me! I then waited until 6:51 and called you to be told on an automated message that you closed at 6. Please explain to me why your receptionist told me id receive a phone call at 6pm when your surgery closed at 6? This is disgusting, the fact you offered a call back at a time you full well knew you were closed and especially about a topic like my heart, i am stressed already about everything and even more so now i can not speak to anyone until tuesday. I want answers as to why i was offered this!

  4. Review titled Excellent service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I called the surgery and they offered a phone consultation with the site physiotherapist within days. We talked about my options of treatment. I then met with the nurse and I expressed my concerns. Within a few days I had an appointment for a minor procedure. All the staff were supportive and accommodating, especially the nurse and the doctor! I went in today and the doc was fantastic, had all the time to reassure me and talk me through the next steps! He’s the best!!

  5. Review titled I am appalled by the service this surgery offers

Call up at 8.30 and you are in a queue. Now that's fine because there's other people poorly too! Get to the receptionist who then refuses to give you an appointment for a baby, says you have to have a call back. For a baby!! The irony of it all is they have appointments though because the previous week I was given an appointment on two consecutive days for my older daughter..but for a baby who has a high temp and a rash...no! It's a call back. I ended up taking up valuable time at a&e for my baby who had tonsillitis and needed to be seen asap with a temp that was borderline so high he could have fitted. The receptionists are picking and choosing each day how they deal with calls. Also, I have called at 12pm before to be told there are no appointments left for the day and also no call appointments either. This isn't good enough! There are too many cooks, many who have no idea what they are doing. Also, how can you be caller number 1 and then sit for 45 minutes waiting to be answered? What did the receptionist decide to do? Go for lunch? In my opinion this particular practise is failing its patients. It ought to be embarrassed.

Staff have no idea what they are doing! Don't expect to be seen for your appointment because they can clearly not tell the time. Reception staff are useless

I am always very keen to investigate where our service has failed a patient. If you would like to contact the practice and speak with Jodie Carvell, Patient Services Manager or myself, we can take some more information and review what has happened so we can develop and improve our service. 8. Review titled Absolutely abysmal practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

I've used this practice for the majority of my life. Since re-registering after moving back to Coventry a few years ago, I have never encountered such terrible service. Borderline aggressive reception staff over the telephone when trying to make appointments or speak to a doctor about medical concerns, and that's when you finally get through to one after waiting for an hour and a half. The few doctors and reception staff I have spoken to recently have either been nonchalant about my concerns or entirely disregarded them. I've had antibiotics given to me without explaining how to take them, after asking whether they were safe to take with my current medication I was told "just read the leaflet, I don't have time" and of course after having them dispensed at the pharmacy adjacent there were no instructions or leaflet contained. I have been told that the unbearable pain I've had wasn't classed as an emergency, and to phone another day. To be told the same thing over the course of a week. I've been refused a referral to a specialist with my concerns, and told to "just go to A&E to speak with the team there" if I had any further concerns. I've been left waiting for over an hour for an appointment that I was told the wrong time for, and after hostile responses from the telephone reception team and feeling "fobbed off" and uncared for I'm left wondering why I still use this practice, or even why I bother contacting them with medical concerns and ongoing issues. I am beyond frustrated with my treatment, to the point that I'm counting down the days until an appointment I have booked there so I can move to a different practice. The only upside of being a patient here is one of the ladies on the reception desk. She's been so kind, and genuinely cares about everyone having to visit. Because let's face it, no one wants to go to the doctors, and you really do only realise how good or bad they are when you need them.

Dear patient, I am really sorry you have not been happy with the service you have received from the practice recently. We are experiencing unprecedented demand at the moment which is causing delays in answering the telephones and providing sufficient appointments. We are recruiting additional staff to help us manage the demand. I would be very pleased to investigate the concerns you have raised with antibiotic prescribing and the GP's you have spoken with. Please contact me at the practice. Kind regards Claire Underhill Practice Manager

  9. Review titled What has happened!

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 13 October 2022

I have had dreadful experiences with reception staff the last few weeks. What is happening are you using temporary untrained staff? What has happened to all the permanent listed on your we site? For weeks now there is a telephone message staying they are short staffed due to illness. Very often I have been in queue of over 20 Last week I was in great pain and felt very ill. The receptionist enquired about problem then told me to take Ibuprofen and Paracetamol. What right had she got ! could potentially kill someone. Next phone call I was told to ring 111, I had tried that but could not get through. She then told me to ring 999. I wasn't serious enough to warrant that. A few days later (Monday I had Text message from surgery to say my test showed infection and if still unwell to ring .I rang and the receptionist told me I could speak to doctor till Wednesday. I told her I couldn't wait as I had been ill for 10days, she then started mumbling . Eventually got a call back that day, I had got e coli, I presume in my Kidneys There is another event but I will not catalogue than for now. I wonder if the office manager is aware of what is happening on reception. I am polite when phoning

  10. Review titled Was once a Great Practice

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 21 October 2022

This surgery used to be the one of the best in Coventry. From the time the practice took ownership of budget saving money has taken precedence over issuing medication. For instance my friend and I were travelling to Europe, where the government travel advice guidelines recommended measles vaccination. Park Leyes refused to give me the preventative injection. Needless to say my friend’s doctor gave her the injection without objection. The surgery’s frugal penny pinching measures should be reconsidered.
