  1. Review titled Good practice, there is just one GP that lets it down.

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 08 April 2024

I don’t mind the practice on a whole, but there is one GP that I’ve seen on a couple of occasions over the last couple of years, and she always talks to me as if she’s talking down to me. Is quite abrupt and rude and answers in such a way that you end up feeling really silly for ever asking the question. As if you have the knowledge of a GP and should know the answers. Which isn’t the case, but I do however have knowledge over my own body and know when something isn’t right. It makes me not want to go to the doctors anymore incase the appointment is with this GP (usually I don’t get told who I am seeing/who is calling) because I always leave feeling like a nuisance and it’s just not a very nice experience overall. I’ve never had an issue with the reception staff not once. The waiting times are kinda annoying, you can wait up to an hour after your scheduled appointment time sometimes. I understand it’s a difficult job in a difficult sector but if you actively choose to work with people then you should know how to talk to people.

  2. Review titled Disappointed

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Never had an issue with reception staff, but the doctor I’ve seen was an utter disappointment and rude! I felt I was not respected and I’ve been talked to in an unacceptable manner. Then they were literally pushing me out of the door in the middle of my sentence, after being called in an hour late to my actual appointment. Shameful! Doctors should help people and not take out their frustrations with the system on patients.

  3. Review titled Awful treatment

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Andrei Berbece - Posted on 29 October 2023

GP very rude, had booking at 10:40 and managed to be seen at 11:55, not even a “sorry” for delay, i made this booking after 5 days in agony with a tooth infection possibly spreading to ear and throat, just wanted them to have a quick look to make sure that is no real risk as after 4 days at 111 trying to book an emergency dentist they weren’t able to find me any booking anywhere. When GP heard the magic word “tooth” - started saying that if its dental related there is nothing they can do as they are not covered for/ not getting paid, so the whole appointment took around 60 seconds. I have to mention that this was my first visit to a GP in 10 years in this country, was completely frustrated and i feel these kind of specimens with such behaviour don’t deserve any of the taxes I pay for doing nothing.

  4. Review titled Downhill

Rated 1 star out of 5

This was a very nice practice some 10 years ago and now they went downhill. It is almost impossible to book an appointment recently and if you get lucky, the medical staff are awfully rude and patronising, extremely offensive behaviour. I was offered a cuddle to make me feel better because I’ve had a cough. The doctors are not competent, they very often google symptoms. I have already changed my surgery and I don’t regret it at all

  5. Review titled Denying the right to vaccinations.

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Abigail Smith - Posted on 11 July 2023

Having been back and forth on the phone for the past 2 weeks I am still no closer to booking in my newborn for his first vaccinations. We are already 2 weeks late for his 6 week check. I am appalled they have made absolutely no contact, and it is me having to constantly chase only to be told the person isn’t in. These vaccinations are vital and I cannot understand why we are being denied the right to the appointment????

  6. Review titled Summertime specialists?

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Mr. Paul van Palant - Posted on 03 July 2023

Beyond months of enquiring for registration, excused to an internet website problem, the two consequential engagements, one as the 'typical NHS Quick-Step' routine telephone exercise and the other as an in-person consultation, were neither reasonable to premise of genuinity nor prescription. Avoid the dance floor at entry of the solo singer.

  7. Review titled Awful reception staff

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Meg - Posted on 15 March 2023

I booked a phone call consultation which I asked for after 4pm. No One Called!! So I called the following day.. they called me back while I was finished off an important work call, I answered and said can you hold for 1 minute while I finished the call (was just saying goodbyes) all I could hear from the reception was “for god sake hurry up” “oh hurry up” huffing and puffing! I checked I had been 1 minute 20 seconds. This receptionist was so so rude!! I then tried to explain my situation from the day before that no one called she didn’t apologise for it, shrugged it off and just said well what’s your name then so I can book you in!! The receptionist at this place make the company the worst. Find better staff!!!

  8. Review titled Gone downhill

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I moved to this practice as other practice in Worcester was so awful. Now unable to book appointments, even though when you go to the surgery there is virtually no one there. Had a cancer referral two weeks ago. As I had been told by the GP that I would receive a scan in two weeks, I called the surgery yesterday to told that the referral had been returned by the hospital because it was not in the right format and had to be sent as a two-week referral, which it had apparently been. When I pressed the receptionist why it had been sent back when it had been sent as a two-week referral, she started to back track and say that she was just repeating what she had been told by the medical secretaries. Total lack of ownership at what is already a distressing time. I was then told to call back later that week to make sure that the request had actually been sent and then call back again the following week to book a review session with the GP. Impossible to book online. There are never any appointments available through patient access or on the app, so you are obliged to wait 40 minutes at 8.30, often to just be told that there are no appointments available. I have now a further wait to find out if I have cancer and to chase them to see if they have even been bothered to send off my referral to the hospital. Utterly disgusted.

Dear Mr Davis We are sorry you were upset by being directed to our Clinical Pharmacist for the review of your prescription. Our clinical Pharmacists is the best person to advise you on medication. Our clinical Pharmacist is a valued member of our clinical team here at Spring Gardens and is the best person to advise you on medication issues. It will also be quicker to see one of our Clinical Pharmacists than one of our GPs currently. We apologise that this was not explained to you fully when requesting your appointment. We have a varied clinical team and a GP is not always the best person to see in certain circumstances which is why our reception staff are trained to ask a few more questions to patients than in the past. We thank you for your feedback and will remind our reception team to explain this more fully in future Kind Regards Spring Gardens Group Practice
