  1. Review titled Excellent practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

From reception, nurse, doctors all have been amazing since joining this surgery. Five star service all round. I had to join this surgery when my old one had closed. I had been with my previous doctors for around 40 years, it wasn’t until i had to transfer to this one did I realise how bad my old one was. I can’t believe how different the two are. I have had the best service starting from the receptionists they are super friendly and helpful. The two doctors I have seen have been amazing so caring and brilliant, the nurse I have seen a few times has gone above and beyond it’s like talking to a friend she genuinely made me feel I was the only person she was dealing with so helpful and if she said she was going to call she did and has put my mind at ease. I’m so glad to be with this practice now

  2. Review titled Hostile Environment

Rated 1 star out of 5

This practice is hostile in the way it deals with patients you wait over an hour to get through on the phone and when you ask for face to face appointments you are treated with contempt and no compassion the staff are hostile on the phones and you never get to see same GP twice you wait weeks for appointments as they don’t release them so unable to plan if you need non urgent care still waiting now for someone to pick up the phone can’t even get through to queue after 30 minutes the service is completely inadequate for the patient needs and they actually don’t care

  3. Review titled Went above and beyond!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I simply cannot understand the negative reviews. My husband and I have received nothing but the best from this surgery. From the reception, to the prescriptions, to our doctor and the wonderful nurse who yesterday gave my husband a thorough MOT. This is a new surgery for us and it has far exceeded our expectations. Kind, considerate and knowledgable. My husband has vascular dementia and they have been extremely helpful in recommendations to help us. If you have had a bad experience then I am really sorry, but I have nothing but praise for Wycliffe.

  4. Review titled Errr ... useless

Rated 5 stars out of 5

New to the area so trying to register. Half an hour on hold, so gave up and registered on-line. Called for an appointment. Forty minutes later I spoke to reception - apparently it takes up to a week for the change over to occur. A few days later, i received a call inviting me to a "new patient" appointment, in six weeks time! I asked if there was an earlier appointment available as I'm currently unwell, but no. Apparently six weeks was the soonest available appointment. So there's a waiting list essentially to get on the next waiting list. Yep. Covid has been tough on the NHS, but it's also been the excuse to stop offering any kind of sensible service level. Needless to say I'm now on line looking for an alternative to Wycliffe, which is of no practical use whatsoever. No wonder people go to A&E.

  5. Review titled Prepare to be on hold and chase repeatedly.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Chronic Pain - Posted on 30 April 2022

In my experience if I call the practice I’m on hold for an average of 40mins. The shortest it’s ever been is 20mins but even then that’s good because on occasion it doesn’t ring seeming like the phone has been taken off the hook. I’ve been chasing a referral for chronic pain for almost 3months… - submit your request via the portal for it to be rejected. Submit another request via the portal and await a response in two weeks which will be you need a in person assessment. - no physical exam during the in person assessment but just told paper work is not on system. - Provide the paper work chase weekly & chased by reception still nothing! I’m sure there will also be a waiting list for the chronic pain clinic but thanks for prolonging my ordeal!
