Great were getting somewhere oh no because I was late by 20 mins "stuck in School time traffic" I was refused to be seen and told to go to a pharmacy again. This bunch of inept fools need there heads wobbled.

Dear Patient I am sorry you were not able to book an appointment in advance. All our appointment are triaged through our online system called Klinik. This ensures that patients are assessed and offered an appointment according to need. Unfortunately, despite obtaining an appointment, you arrived 20 minutes late and could not be seen as other patients were waiting who had arrived on time. You were advised to seek pharmacy advice. 4. Review titled Great support

Rated 5 stars out of 5

The GP called as expected and took her time to understand what I needed, check results and provide supportive care for the sensitive situation I was facing. She had up to date knowledge and was able to offer insights based on it. Not only that, she had remembered/checked notes for facts about me and brought these into the conversation. I felt heard, like I mattered and so it felt truly personal and individual. I feel like I am under her care rather than just a number.

Dear Patient , Thank you for taking the time to post a review of our services, in particular, the care you received from the GP you saw, who took the time to understand your needs, check results and provide supportive care. She not only offered insights based on up to date knowledge but brought into the conversation facts about you that she had noted from your records. You felt that you had been treated as an individual under the doctors care and not just a number. Your review will be shared with the staff across Shore Medical and is very much appreciated. 5. Review titled It is no longer possible to recommend this practice.

Rated 1 star out of 5

After my GP reviewed my monthly blister pack repeat prescriptions a mistake was made and my bumetanide (water) tablets dosage were incorrectly increased. This sadly caused a surprising amount of problems. I believe this mistake was made in November 2023. I was made aware of this mistake by my domiciliary carers in December but didn’t bother the surgery as due to Christmas they requested that only serious issues to be raised until after the new year, so I kindly respected this request. I took advise from Nhs 111 and discarded the additional pills. Then in the new year I called and requested that the mistake be rectified and my blister packs be returned to the correct dosage. I was assured this would be done and told that the next blister pack would be correct, or if not this month then definitely the following month. Sadly the next month blister packs were again wrong. I called again and once more was informed that next month the blister pack would be correct. Sadly again this was not true and the packs were again filled with the incorrect dosage. I called the pharmacist who confirmed the error must be resolved by the Gp and to discard the unwanted dose. Every month I have asked for the mistake to be corrected. I have even spoken to the surgery manager and she has assured me that this month (April) the blister packs will have the correct dosage. Well guess what…yet again they have the wrong dosage! I have very little idea of what more I can do to get my medication dosage to be correct. It worries me greatly that this error could possibly be occurring to many patients who have not been made aware that they are taking the wrong dose of medication. After all one would imagine that the medical doctors would be capable of administering the correct dose of medication and when an error has been brought to there attention with the advise of a 111 medical doctor then they would be vigilant in rectifying this potentially life threatening mistake. Hopefully this is just a one off error but it really does concern me that after I have brought this error to the attention of the surgery on many occasions that they would actually do what they keep saying and make good the error they have made. I have even spoken to a very helpful medical doctor working for NHS 111 who very kindly explained why and how the error was made, and also advised that I must break open the blister packs and remove the extra dose and to tell the surgery to rectify the mistake they keep making. This also does seem a waste of our taxes paying for medication that I throw away, and also the time I have to keep calling to ask time and time again for them to do as myself and the medical doctor from 111 asks them to do. I am trying to find another surgery to move to as I have lost all trust in this surgery. Such a shame as I have been with Wessex Road for over fifty years but sadly now they are Shore Medical I can’t recommend them anymore. Personally I would not risk joining this practice.

Was made to feel like we weren’t wasting their time … made my daughter feel really listened to and assured that her issue would be resolved and it was … with a follow up call four months later as promised. Just amazing.

  8. Review titled Bad practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 13 October 2023

My experience with the practice is awful, they try to palm you off with medication rather than address and investigate the issue. The nurse practitioner was happy to tell me something was to to do with my condition but when asked how became defensive and said "Science hasn't got that far yet." I personally think if you don't know the answer you should be referred to someone who does. But unfortunately, due to the lack of care and consideration I'm undergoing private investigations into my health. The amount of time, energy and money it cost to try and go through the NHS, due to having to take leave from work, using holiday because of inflexible appointments and general pain I have been in, I'm not surprised it has worked out cheaper to go privately.

  10. Review titled Good practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Carolyn Dixie - Posted on 18 July 2023

I don’t seem to have ever had a bad experience, sometimes the wait can be long but not every time. Happy with all the nurses and doctors I have seen and I feel I am getting well looked after. I also find doing an e consult very helpful and easy enough to do, always get a call back either the same day or the next day. The only thing I do miss is having the same doctor all the time, a doctor that knows you and all your medical history. Overall I have no complaints even though all around me people seem to be doing nothing but moaning
