  1. Review titled Prescription Issues

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Prescription Nightmare - Posted on 01 April 2024

Whilst attempting to renew my prescription this week and it turns out they haven’t added it to a repeat prescription. This isn’t the first time I’ve had issues with them on prescriptions a number of times. Often the wrong dose issued and it’s impossible to get medical attention quickly either by phone or appointment call back.

  2. Review titled Poor repeat prescription service

Rated 1 star out of 5

I take regular medication. Up until recently, the GP after a medical review, would direct the chemist to dispense monthly medication for the next 6 months. The chemist in turn would text me, a few days before my repeat meds were due. Now they don't! Therefore, I have to request my repeat prescription each month. Simple you would think? No! Even requesting in time, my prescription is still not ready at the chemist. I have now run out if medication, even after the chemist themselves emailed the surgery. I've then had to call the surgery and, hang on the phone for ages. Luckily, I did get through to a decent receptionist, who has also emailed one of the doctors in the surgery. However, it's unlikely my prescription will be ready until tomorrow (bearing in mind I've now run out of medication such as diabetes medication). Plus, I have to work, so how can I get to the chemist when opens at 9am, when I'm working 12 miles away and start work at 7am? I'm sick of forever chasing the surgery and the chemist for my repeat prescription. I'm tired! Why oh why Streatham Park surgery, why can't you make getting repeat prescriptions easier? It's a ridiculous state of affairs how they now deal with repeat prescriptions. As for getting a GP appointment............. forget it!

  3. Review titled Poor practice behaviour for mental health

Rated 1 star out of 5

I called the fransican road practice for an appointment. I called 83 times and kept getting ,sorry the practice is now closed from 3.30 to 4pm when I was told by a friend to call Mitcham Lane. O got through and said please don't tell me appointments are gone as I have been calling tooting . The lady asked what I wanted and said no appointments left, I got really angry as she tried telling me that calls are automatically transfered which was a lie. I told her the message I got from the tooting number ,I was swearing and really angry and said this is part of my mental health and then she cut me off. So people with mental health stay clear of this surgery.

  4. Review titled Can't get hold of anyone!

Rated 1 star out of 5

Been a patient of the Franciscan Rd practice for over 20 years and have always held it in high regard but since it's gone all techy the service offered has been abysmal. Been ill with COVID/Flu symptoms for a few days so wanted to book an appt. Tried ringing during available times but just held on a loop and bombarded with how to do this and that online. Nobody answered after 10 mins. Tried online booking, not available. Can't visit in person as they don't want you to. I've resorted to submitting a complaint but that's probably going to take a couple of days with no guarantee anyone will get back to me. And feeling this ill the last thing you want to do is plow through loads of online screens that make you feel dizzy and nauseous. So angry and frustrated. The service offered currently is non-existent!

  5. Review titled Appalling

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Been registered at this GP Surgery for 25+ years and in all honesty, I have never had a bad experience with them up until today. Sent in a prescription request over a week ago and it was not actioned. Called and spoke to a very rude receptionist. She refused to give me her name, hung up the phone on me whilst I was talking. I called back again, refused to give me her name (only wanted her first name) proceeded to keep telling me she doesn’t deal with prescriptions (again in all honesty, as much sympathy as I may have towards them, this is not my problem). I work in the NHS myself & I wouldn’t dare to speak to my patients like this! Absolutely ridiculous. Bet if I was asking to put in a good word about her, she would have happily given me her name.

Dear Allana, Thank you for your feedback. We take all feedback seriously. I am sorry you have had a problem obtaining your prescription and I will trace back your request and see what went wrong, to avoid this situation occurring again. I am also sorry you have had a poor experience with a member of staff from our reception team, I will take back your feedback to the member of staff and the whole team to discuss and as a learning opportunity. Once I have looked into this matter, I would be happy to discuss the findings with you. Please contact me at the surgery. Kind Regards Hanisha Mountford Practice Manager

  7. Review titled Abysmal

Rated 1 star out of 5

The surgery has no interest in actual remedy of restrictive pain, but happy to dish out pills. The surgery happy to send antagonistic phoney texts to patients it does not know about, 'special health advice', over Christmas... advice that isn't special at all.. in fact it's baseless & without any content.. but has no interest in moving forward with real treatment that can help an embarrassed patient (who feels humiliated at trying to explain to their deaf or ignorant ears) to properly recover from a condition that needlessly limits everyday activities.. what's so contradictory about this surgery is that they act interested from prehistoric notes on a person they don't know then ignore when a common sense request for physical therapy is requested. Such ignorance is a real shame. 30 yrs ago I experienced a nervous breakdown. I thought society had moved forward with its attitude toward many aspects. Sadly this surgery seems stuck in a bygone era.

  8. Review titled Disheartened

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 15 April 2022

Following near two months with a condition called sciatica, I managed to make an appointment to see a physio at the surgery. My understanding of physio to support recovery & aim to avoid future recurrence was quite different to what I actually experienced here. The young physiotherapist had access to my medical records without my consent, which I feel guided his approach. It seemed that, as long as I avoid pooping in the bed & can hobble around, I'm not to return for further 'physio'. I left feeling so so disappointed. I hope the surgery can digest this review too but I'd have no interest in hearing from them on this matter.
