    I have a chest infection diagnosed by a private GP but I still can't get an appointment at Barton House for them to prescribe me antibiotics. This is a consistent experience, you can't get to a GP at this practice.

    I have been a hitherto very happy patient at Barton House for more than 30 years, but in the past 18 months there has been a complete deterioration in service. The AI booking system is incomprehensible, and is usually unavailable by 10.00am. I assume that if you can get to talk to a medic the experience is fine, but it is so difficult I have resorted to private, walk-in GP services. It is not clear on the practice website who, or how, to complain and there seems to be no accountability. Such a shame!

    Left message online and received very sms quickly and was later that day offered face to face appointment .I was delighted to have a face to face appointment and had time to ask questions and explain various symptoms. I was treated politely and respectfully and received helpful information and prescription. I am lucky to receive nhs treatment and get help when needed. GPS and receptionists there are always helpful and polite

    I went to the surgery for a pre arranged flu injection I went to the reception to book in and was told that there was wall mounted screen and could I use that. I said I would not know how to use it. There was a patient very upset over how the reception had dealt with them. I feel with new technology like the screen that it would be useful if a member of staff went out and showed people how to use it.

    Over the many years i have been a patient at Barton Centre everything has been excellent. Attitudes of receptionists, medical personel. Receptionist ls are always patient and cordial and just amazing. Medical team : doctors,nurses and all are very humble and know what they are doing. You are the best! Keep your good work.

  6. Review titled I went to get my flu vaccine

    The practice had contacted me to offer me the flu vaccine. Whilst I was there the nurse also offered me a health screen check up. This involved taking some blood samples and a history of details about my current levels of activity, exercise, emotional and general well-being. The nurse was very gentle, charming and thorough. She was also pretty efficient in taking bloods and giving the vaccine injection in a swift and painless manner. I was very happy with the consultation.

    I met this GP for the first time at this appointment. I was very impressed by his professionalism and considerate attitude. He was knowledgeable whilst also concerned to ensure my emotional as well as physical well-being. Great communication. I left my appointment knowing my health issue was being addressed yet also reassured that I was in good health.

    I was offered a face to face consultation. Thorough examination and onwards referral to specialist services. The GP was calm and patient and this really allayed my concerns and fears.

    I had an appointment with a GP. She immediately put me at ease with her warm and caring manner. She listened attentively and asked follow up questions. She clearly explained the investigations required and the follow up arrangements. Overall, I had a very positive experience.

    My mother came out of hospital and couldn’t get any support and on hold for 20 minutes each time just to speak to receptionist. Finely got blood test for my mother. Was waiting 30 mins past appointment time, but lovely staff member on reception sorted a couple of issues out for me there and then.
