  1. Review titled Just awful

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by MCT - Posted on 12 April 2024

Attitude of staff trying to manage all the appointments and messages and reports etc awful. Not a single message got through to my GP .Told have to start all over again and get another appointment and not even with my own GP . And be triage first. Why can't a GP respond to questions about the referral they were meant to make and the hospital needs extra information or something can't provide. So tired of trying to get through all this

  2. Review titled Very poor communication

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Several examples. EConsult a waste of time. Tried it 3 times in 12 months. No GP got back to me at all. Appts impossible to get. Seems to be a diary problem and reception trying to push appts with nurses or even health care assistant. On one occasion very recently it was impossible to get a duty appointment for my child. I still haven't had any explanation why. I am still waiting for a call back from a manager. I have symptoms that are worrying. I was a cancer patient and I need a GP appt. Feels totally chaotic at this practice. Staff very stressed and it shows. Curt responses and no apologies ever. Can't even get an explanation most days. I think the practice is too big .It should stop taking on new patients as it can't cope with the numbers it has.

I have a very nice consultation with a gentleman today and he was very thorough and helpful. He helped me with a few problems. This practice is very new for me as I've just registered and from the reception staff to the doctor everyone is nice

  4. Review titled Mental health got very bad and no doctors

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 13 March 2024

I meant to be under here for my mental health. It got worse the medication give me bad side effects. There was a change by the GP but no one give me appointment after. I got very much worse I was meant to have follow up and they had no appointments and no one write me. Terrible time . Try go in they had no time for me tell me to phone I have no phone. Reception tell me to go see A&E instead see GP when it's for GP who gives the medication to get me safe. This is what it's like now for people like me.

  5. Review titled Patients' pharmacy details changed without permission

Rated 1 star out of 5

What is going on with this practice? My self-selected nominated pharmacy details were changed to a dodgy pharmacy in a sleazy part of Camden without my knowledge or perm1ssion. Resulting in a wasted journey to my self-nominated pharmacy as James Wigg staff had changed my pharmacy without even telling me. What is in it for them? Why are they doing this? Why are they overriding patients' own self-chosen nominated pharmacy?

I have had no bad experiences with James Wigg practice all staff, nurses and doctors have been caring and listen to all my concerns without judgement. My recent experience, was very polite, patient and the practitioner asked necessary questions to understand my needs to help my symptoms.

I was worried the wait time would be extreme but it wasn’t. when I spoke with the staff they handled it very swiftly, gave me as much information as they could to help me before the appointment.

  8. Review titled Great doctor care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Saw the doctor for three different medical issues, which she dealt with with an amazing patient care manner, as well as efficiently and effectively. Further treatment was sorted immediately, as well as information on additional vaccination options.

  9. Review titled Troubling experiences

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Seline - Posted on 13 March 2024

There's a sudden rush of very positive stories about the practice .We feel we must respond because we have very different experiences. As parents and as carers of older vulnerable parents and we have been registered here many many years so really seen the good and the bad over time. There's not been a manager available if we've asked for one and when communication is very poor or a receptionist is very rude as is sometimes the case, there needs to be. I've also seen very distressed patients in the queue who've needed extra support. Where a manager should come out. One of our own parents who is very vulnerable has had that experience and come away in tears not getting an appointment because their memory problems and confusion got in the way. Yet according to reviews here it's really easy. As parents it continues to be very worrying that there is no clear route through to getting to see a GP. These are time critical incidents yet so much confusion too many times about whether or not can see a GP. Triage is just an obstacle where you're told to send a photo and then because you can't diagnose from a photo an appt has to be arranged. But by then there aren't any - too many reasons to list here why not. Skip the triage and our children are seen and treated as should be. Specifically, one of our very young children had contact with another child with measles and got very ill. We felt they needed to be seen and NHS 111 told us contact the GP so we did. Then no appointments or an appointment with a nurse and then waited for a triage callback that never came. So NHS 111 told us to go to A&E We don't see listening or learning.

  10. Review titled Great Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Call handler didn’t seemed rushed, asked probing questions about how long certain symptoms had been going on and was helpful and empathetic throughout. A great, calming voice to speak to.
