    I feel very fortunate to be registered with this practice.,i never have a problem in getting an appointment when required and the online triage system works very well . I messaged at 4 pm today and got a phone call asking me to come in to be examined,i don’t think you can get better than that. If you need to be seen you will be , sometimes it’s easier for the patient and the doctor to get a phone call. Last year one of the doctors saved my husband’s life as she insisted he went to have an ecg and blood test before just increasing his medication it turned out he had suffered from a silent heart attack.

I am glad that you have tried our new triage system and that you found the overall experience a positive one. We are continuously trying to improve patient experience when contact us for an appointment and feel that the new system has been beneficial towards patient experience. We are now able to offer a wide range of appointments including ones at our hub in Buckhurst way and with local pharmacists in addition to those from our Kings Avenue Surgery.     Having told Kings that I did not want to be referred to a particular ineffective outside healthcare agency GP, they referred me again. He was unhelpful and unfriendly. Whats more. I can't find any qualifications for him.

    Rang for an appointment but there weren’t any so told to complete online form. Received call from practice that evening offering an appointment for the next morning. Spoke to doctor and referral to hospital made within an hour. Have been a patient for over 30 years and it is an amazing practice.

    I rang the surgery this morning at 9.30 for an appointment. I was seen at 9.45! Even King Charles couldn't get better than that. It might have been my lucky day but generally I can get an appointment without waiting more than a day.

    This practise is very quick to respond when you need to be seen. Very efficient booking system. Doctors listen, reassuring and are compassionate. Really highly recommend this practise. They are wonderful.

    I have no issue with the healthcare staff. I have been here since I was a child. I also work in healthcare, so I do understand the pressures. However it is virtually impossible for me to get an appointment with your new booking systems. I work near 12 hour shifts, with 2 specific days off and I am unable to get appointments, but the time I get through on the phone there are no appointments left, and I just have to try again. When calling I am giving conflicting information about repeat prescriptions, yes I have to have an appointment with the doctor and then next time I call no, I do not need an appointment the person I am on the phone with will just pass my details over to the Doctor. I just hope I never have anything serious with this new booking system, things might get serious before I can even get an appointment.

    Dear Yin Thank you for taking the time to leave feed back about the surgery. I am very sorry to hear that you have had difficulties booking an appointment, please accept my apologies for this. Between February and August we provided over 17,000 appointments (64% of which were face to face), over half of which were available to book on the day. Our average wait time on calls being under 5 minutes. We have listened to previous patient feedback. In November introducing a queue system on our telephone lines and then over the last 2 months we have increased the number of pre-bookable appointments and opened these up for patients to book as soon as they are on our system and not just two days in advance (upto 4 weeks). This alongside recruitment of an additional GP and two additional pharmacist sessions each week to help support patient access. Later in the year, details yet to be confirmed (likely November) we will also be launching a platform giving patients the ability to request appointments /advice on non-acute issues via our website/NHS app. These patient enquiries will be triaged by a GP and appointments then booked accordingly or advice given directly. It will give better access to those patients who may not be able to contact us when our phone lines open each session. We will also be offering patients the ability to make admin requests in the same way, which will free up more time on our telephone lines, enabling us to speak to patients even quicker. This will give greater flexibility and access to our patients to be able to book in advance. This will sit side by side with our telephone booking system. As ever it is about trying to strike a balance between the urgent and non-urgent needs of our 8000 patients, providing ongoing care for individuals with long term conditions that require regular reviews, guiding patients to self-help where they do not require to speak to a GP and at the same time maintaining the ability for patients to book on the day appointments versus having all pre-bookable appointments and then a high patient ‘Did not attend rate’ We will continue to listen to the views of our patients and continue to make positive changes to the practice and how we operate. In relation to repeat prescriptions we no longer accept requests via telephone (from the 1st of July) as there are other routes patients can request these (via chosen pharmacy, via NHS app or by dropping paper request into the surgery. Again the aim of this initiative is to focus the reception team on making appointment bookings. There will be times that you will require a medication review in order to continue with certain medicines.     All the Dr.s and nurses I have seen recently are always ready to listen to any concerns and give advice and guidance. The reception staff are always polite and try to accommodate requests.

    I have been with this practice for over 20 years . The doctors are kind , courteous and helpful. The star of the show is the nurse who I see for HRT . She always has time to listen, gives good advice and makes me feel comfortable and relaxed

    Having transferred to the practice in December with an underlying condition the doctors were extremely understanding and helpful, time was not an issue. I never failed to get an appointment the same day and was given professional and caring advice. Additionally I also required treatment from the nursing and HCA team. They are a credit to the practice, approachable, efficient and caring. All the staff on reception reflect extremely well as a first point of contact, coping admirably under pressure especially with the high call volume. To conclude, an amazing practice that I can’t praise high enough. Thank you for the incredible amount of time and treatment I have been lucky enough to receive. Praise indeed, an example for the NHS.
