  1. Review titled Consistently poor care.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 11 November 2023

The care I have received from this practice has been consistently poor. Every time I have spoken to a doctor, they have completely ignored the actual issue to hand and recommended weight loss, no matter how comedically irrelevant it is or how many times I try to steer them back on track. In an average appointment, I am lucky to get two sentences about the thing I actually asked about, and usually end up having to go and do my own research, which makes me wonder why I keep bothering to come back. Absolutely do not recommend. I hope that they consider some more weight-neutral approaches to medical care, or at the very least listening to their patients and getting back on topic when repeatedly requested, but frankly I do not have high hopes.

  2. Review titled Great if you live in Bowthorpe but...

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I joined this practice (Trinity Street) because it is local and I can walk to it in 10 minutes as I don't own a car. Every time I try and make a GP appointment now they offer it at Bowthorpe - which is very hard to get to from here (£10 each way in a taxi or 4 buses). To get one locally there is often a several week wait. The same with flu jab - I was sent a text offering it - but it's only available to under 60s in Bowthorpe.

Dear Patient Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback and we are sorry that you have received a poor experience. We often offer the next available appointment which in some cases may be at our sister surgery but we always have appointments available at both sites but the wait may be longer. Flu vaccinations were offered at both sites but the Saturday clinics we offer are at Bowthorpe due to the sheer numbers of patients and the parking available. We have experienced shortness of staff in recent months but please rest assured appointments are available at out Trinity Street Surgery.

  3. Review titled Very helpful and effective

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Had flu-like symptoms, which developed and I lost my sense of balance. The GP (phone consultation) was quick to respond, thorough, and efficient - the medication was effective. A very good experience!

  4. Review titled Harassment.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 29 March 2023

GPs are no problem , but after requesting that receptionists do not send me invitations to clinical trials and invitations to vaccinations which I’ve already had the harassment continues with a request to send my weight to them . I’m not a frequent visitor and already have a respect form in place . I suggest they concentrate on those people who need them .

  5. Review titled Not good on this occation

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Went to Wessex St Eye specialist for a cateract on Tuesday. Whilst there the took my book pressure and it was way too high and told me to go straight to the doctors for another pressure test and consultation. I went straight to the doctors and explained the seriousness of the situation that Wessex St stated I must go straight away. The young lady went away to talk to somebody and after looking on screen said an appointment cannot be made until 1415 on Monday the 9th. Just hope this will be OK as they were so insistent I sore a Doctorp/nurse straight away.

This Practice must be the best Practice in Norwich. They respond so quickly to online requests for appointments and medication requests. Also the Receptionists are polite and helpful.

  7. Review titled Online forms not available out of working hours

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 18 July 2022

It would be really helpful if the online forms to contact the surgery were available outside of working hours. Many of the patients work and can only find time to contact the surgery online when they themselves are not working.

Dear Patient Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. In the best interest of our patients, we limit the types of forms available to complete during our non-contractual hours. As the forms submitted cannot be safely managed when we are closed, we urge patients to contact 111 or 999 in emergencies.

  8. Review titled Telephone appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

by PETER ADRIAN FLATT - Posted on 21 May 2022

The receptionist at Bowthorpe told me a certain GP would either contact me today 21/05/2022 at 11am by phone or email I replied to their message stating an email would be preferred as I would most probably be driving at the time of the appointment so she replied to me to state she would notify the GP that an email would be preferred. I am still awaiting contact and its 11.35am and this appt is in connection to results from a colonoscopy which was done on the 10th May 2022 so I am still none the wiser of the results..

  9. Review titled Very disappointing

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 19 May 2022

Had two horrible experiences in one day! Heavily pregnant and after my bloods came back with midwife it was noted that I needed medication to start before my next appointment with them in 4 weeks. I rang the surgery to explain this, to be told that I have to use the online booking form and she can’t refer this herself to the doctor to do a prescription whilst after my telephone conversation, although the midwife had already put the request through also. (Bearing in mind it took 4 days just to get a different appointment for my daughter with backwards and forwards of messaging on the portal where a simple quick 2 minute telephone could have prevented this) An appointment was booked over a week in advance for my daughter to have her injections, to be called 5 minutes prior to the appointment taking place that they haven’t got the stock in. Highly ridiculous when this was booked in advance and can’t understand why it was left 5 minutes before appointment was due to start especially when you schedule time off work to attend! Highly unorganised! The nurses I’ve met have been wonderful in the past but the reception team highly lets them down, lack of empathy, lack of consideration and always say use the online form. Utterly gone downhill in the recent years.

  10. Review titled Excellent Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 07 May 2022

On contacting the surgery via email, I got a quick response telling me that a GP was to call me so to keep my phone nearby. On speaking to the GP shortly afterwards I was asked to go to the surgery. On arriving I had some bloods done and saw the GP. The GP said she would call the next day which she promptly did. I cannot fault the service I received. Well done to all concerned, keep up the good work.
