Hello; we have been with Gosberton Medical Centre for a couple of years, and it has been very, very good. The doctors have been great here, but they were also great at our previous (very very bad) medical centre. The big difference is with the other staff and the way things are done. The reception staff are effective, the dispensary is helpful and friendly, and the senior administration of the practice really care. Well, everybody cares about something, but unwise priorities can cause more harm than good, as we found at our previous practice, where they didn't seem to appreciate the Health Security Agency's advice of: "It is really important that doctors do not inappropriately limit medicines, as this may increase harm." However, at Gosberton Medical Practice we have had no trouble with this, and we feel that it is a kind, wise, effective practice. We want to thank them for their care for our family, and here's hoping that the way they do things will become more widespread.

  2. Review titled Put here after my GP in Spalding closed

Rated 1 star out of 5

Rather disappointedly I have had no contact from this surgery since being transferred over from Spalding GP. This would have been very useful as didn't know they use a different electronic version so am no longer able to access my medical records or order repeat prescriptions online like I could with my previous 2 surgeries. The good thing is this surgery also has a Dispensary. So a week and a half before my repeat was due I rang them to order what I need for my pain management. Was told by the lady that it would take a couple of days to get the items in. So expected to hear that they had arrived. So this Thursday as I had to go into Boston for work commitments I thought I would drop in as my prescription should be ready. How wrong I was.... On speaking to the lady behind the counter I found that sure enough I had a script signed by the doctor... but no items. Why does this surgery have a dispensary that can't dispense medicines. so I had to collect just the scripts and then speak to the lady on the reception about how I access my medical records. To be told I need to apply via the paperwork she gave me. I did ask why there had been no communication from them to tell us what was needed to be done following moving over from my previous surgery. I was told that I should have received a letter from my former GP. Which I had, but only to be told I had been reassigned to Gosberton GP Surgery and Nothing more. I find this extremely poor as in Business no-one would accept that poor excuse. So when I got home I actually read the scripts to find one of them was way under the amount it should be. Not helpful at all, so this morning have had to go in to ask why I haven't been issued enough medication for a month. I was told that the doctor would be in touch tomorrow, when I will be working (inconvenient) on a market stall and have had to pay for just 6 days medication at a different dispensary. so far my opinion of Gosberton GP Surgery is that they are totally inept. I do hope this changes soon. I will be contacting Health Watch and the CCG with a complaint as this service is way below what I expect from any NHS Doctors Surgery.
