  1. Review titled Very Helpful Practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I needed to see someone after tripping causing damage to my face. My nurse was wonderful . She was so nice, she immediately calmed me and made me comfortable. She tended my injuries and helped with easing my nerves. I’m really grateful for her professional care. Thank you all at St Luke’s. You are a stars 🙏

  3. Review titled Can’t get an appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 18 April 2024

I have had an issue for over 5 weeks, did the online form and the info I got given hasn’t helped so I tried to call for an appointment and 3 days on a trot the practice was at capacity. Managed to speak to a paramedic on the phone, again their info hasn’t helped so I have tried again to get an appointment to be told they are at capacity. I work first thing in the morning so struggle to call as soon as they open and if I do manage I work so can’t just take time off. I call on my day off and they always seem to be at capacity. I shouldn’t have to go to Corby walk in to be seen. Poor service and reception staff can be very rude in tone, it shouldn’t take me over 5 weeks to get an appointment!

  6. Review titled Appalling service- prescription desk.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 02 April 2024

I have just received appalling service from the prescriptions counter. Unfortunately in need of urgent retraining in compassion and humility. People who come to the GP surgery are in a vulnerable position already and in need of help. Absolutely dismayed to experience firsthand how much the staff relish in patronising patients. Using phrases such as ‘well I don’t know how to make it any easier for you to understand’ and being scoffed at this morning. Mockingly checking off the calendar claiming I had ordered my prescription too early. From this particular desk there is a ‘nothing I can do’ and ‘how dare you ask me a question’ attitude. I was sighed at several times over a 2 minute interaction. No greeting or goodbye offered. I said ‘ok, thank you’ and immediately regretted it. It was manners on my part but not at all deserved. I have made a formal complaint via their website and suggest anyone else having a similar experience do the same. I have witnessed other people being left very upset. If reception staff are so vexed by patients and so loathed to help them, it begs the questions why they continue to work there?

My wife asked for a phone appointment with asthma nurse to sort out problem only to be told that there was no appointments till April nearly 3 weeks away, totally disgusting treatment, receptionist even tried to tell us how many times per day i should use my inhaler.

  8. Review titled Useless reception

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 16 February 2024

Today I saw a pharmacist at the practice in market Harborough. He told me I need to see a doctor because of my symptoms. I turned around and got in the queue for reception There was five people in front of me and two receptionists who were serving other patients. One receptionist just walked away leaving a massive queue whilst the other receptionist was dealing with a lengthy query. No one in your office seemed to notice that the queue was not going down. after over half an hour in the queue of feeling ill and spreading germs it was my turn. No appointments. Ring 111 or go to Corby. Thanks.

  10. Review titled Booking system not fit for purpose

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 05 January 2024

It’s impossible to get an appointment, been trying all week and a now going to A&E no other option. Everyone has to ring at 8am it’s a lottery, by the time you get though (up to 2hrs) appointments have all gone for the day, you have to start over the following day. 8am is when people are going to work so you are either unable to call or have to have time off work to call over and over again trying to get through. The refusal to book an appointment for any day in advance is totally ridiculous.

Dear Patient Thank you for your feedback. We apologise that you have found it difficult to obtain an appointment. We do offer appointments up to six weeks in advance, however, once all advance appointments have been taken, this means we can only book same day appointments. You can use the NHS app to book appointments, as we understand it can be difficult to get through on the phone lines due to the volume of calls we answer. There is also patient access where you are able to book on line appointments if you do not have access to this please contact the surgery you can do this by asking the GP a question via our web site which www.mh-bp.co.uk and we will assist you with this process. Again thank you for contacting us. Kind regards MH&BP
