Get your coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination status letter

Use this service to get a letter showing your coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination status.

You can use this letter if you're travelling abroad and need proof you've had your COVID-19 vaccination.

Who can use this service

You can use this service if the following apply:

  • you've had 2 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine
  • you had your vaccination in England
  • you’re aged 16 or over

It can take up to 5 working days from the date of your 2nd dose appointment before the system is updated. So you may need to wait 5 working days from this date before you can use this service.

If you were vaccinated as part of a trial, you cannot currently get a vaccination status.

Before you start

We'll ask you some questions, so we can find your vaccination record.

If we can find your vaccination record, we'll send you a letter to the address you have registered with your GP surgery.

You should get this letter within 5 working days.

Check the details your GP surgery has for you are up to date. Or you can register with a GP surgery if you do not have one.
