The LymEx app aims to support those with lymphoedema. It was created by someone with lymphoedema to help others with the condition.
It offers self care advice and makes the patient information leaflets from the Lymphoedema Network Northern Ireland freely available via all tablet and mobile devices.
Who is it suitable for?
People over 17 who have lymphoedema.
How does it work?
The LymEx app includes self care advice on 4 key areas:
- Skin and nail care.
- Simple lymph drainage, including the arms, legs and head and neck.
- Garment use and care.
- Exercises to encourage good lymph flow in your arms and legs.
