Family Assist provides a wide range of information and resources on pregnancy and the early stages of your child's life. It acts as a library that stores all relevant information about your pregnancy in one place that can be accessed from your mobile phone, tablet or PC.
Who is it suitable for?
Women in the early stages of pregnancy booked to give birth within the Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
How does it work?
Once you are signed up to Family Assist, the often overwhelming amount of information you'll need throughout your pregnancy and beyond will be easily accessible. This information can be shared with family and friends to increase your support network.
The service lets you chat to healthcare professionals online or ask a question and have a response emailed directly to you, so you can be sure that you have received reliable and relevant advice. You will also receive key pieces of information by email at the relevant stages of your pregnancy.
Family Assist enables you and your friends and family to make educated and informed choices about your care and the care and development of your child.

How do I access it?
You can register with Family Assist through either self-referral or via your midwife or health visitor who'll sign you up during your first appointment.
