ChatHealth is a secure and confidential text messaging service for young people. It allows patients to easily and anonymously get in touch with a healthcare professional for advice and support.

It's a locally-offered service currently used by around 40 healthcare provider organisations across the UK. Find out if it's available in your area.

Who is it suitable for?

ChatHealth is for healthcare professionals and health service providers who want to be able to offer quick and confidential support to young people between the ages of 11 and 19.

It's typically used to provide advice about sensitive issues where patients might want to avoid a face to face appointment, such as:

Text messages from patients are managed by staff using the ChatHealth web platform.

The platform can be used to respond to messages with information, advice or details of relevant services.

Texts are charged to patients at their normal network rate.
