Be clear about skin cancer

Transcript of Be Clear on Cancer: skin cancer animation

When a new or existing mole or lesion changes shape or colour,

what's happening on your skin may be only part of the story.

It may be turning into a type of skin cancer called melanoma.

Left unchecked, melanomas can start to spread deeper into the skin

and into the bloodstream,

where the cancer can spread to different parts of the body,

like the lymph glands,...

..or liver.

So if you notice any unusual or persistent changes to your skin,

go to your doctor.

Chances are, it's nothing serious.

But if it is skin cancer, finding it early makes it more treatable.

Be clear on cancer.
