The children's out-patient services are located in a  purpose built child friendly department within the women and children's hospital. Each clinic is staffed by a consultant, who is in charge of patients' care, and a team of doctors, specialist nurses, therapy and support staff. The services provided are  high quality and are patient focused.

Things you should know

Things you should know:

The paediatric consultants work as a team and you may select the earliest date to suit you. If you chose a specific Named Consultant Led Team you may find you have limited choice and wait longer for an appointment. In addition it is not always possible to be seen by the Consultant personally, you may be seen by one of their team. The Trust is a teaching Hospital, so your permission may be sort to allow student nurses or doctors to sit in on your appointment. .

Further information is available in the Patient and Visitors Section of our website including Car Parking, Public Transport and Outpatient Information: www.hey.nhs.uk

Our commitment to you
Everyone who chooses to be treated within 18 weeks, and for whom it is clinically appropriate, will be treated in that timeframe

More information is available at: http://www.chooseandbook.nhs.uk/patients

Our appointment system is organised to ensure that you are not waiting too long, however in the event of undergoing certain tests you may be in clinic all morning or afternoon.

Your commitment to us
With lower waiting times your GP should not refer you for treatment until you are fit and your personal circumstances allow you to be treated over the coming weeks.
