Minor Injuries Units (MIUs) are for injuries, such as deep cuts, eye injuries, broken bones, severe sprains, minor head injury, minor burns and scalds.

Many people go to A&e departments when they could be treated just as well and probably quicker at an MIU.

This service can be accessed by calling 111 where you may be given an appointment if appropriate. If you feel you need to be seen urgently you can go straight to an MIU

  • People of all ages
