Our two Community Hospitals are the Fryatt Hospital in Dovercourt, and Clacton and District Hospital There are four inpatient wards in the Community Hospitals; Durban Ward, Kate Grant Ward St Osyth Priory Ward in Clacton and Trinity Ward at Harwich. Durban Ward is has 28 beds and St Osyth Priory Ward has 27 beds. These are used mainly for the older person and treat a variety of health problems. Kate Grant Rehabilitation Unit is provided to meet the individual needs of people recovering from stroke, orthopaedic surgery and related mobility conditions.
Trinity Ward has 21 beds and is a nurse-led unit with medical support from GPs Our aim on all the wards is to enable the patient to return to their own choice of accommodation with the appropriate support. The Jubilee Assessment Unit provides infusion and transfusion services, and clinic sessions for Care of the Elderly and Specialist Services.
