The Chapel is situated on the ground floor, Ingham Wing near to the Staff Restaurant.
It is open 24 hours per day for all to use. All of the Chaplains can be contacted via the Trust’s bleep system when on site. Due to the flexibility of the service the Chaplains do not attend site on fixed days or times but to coincide with patient and hospital needs. Out of hours or when not on site they can be contacted via the switchboard, which also has a list of contacts for all other faiths. They obtain information daily regarding patients’ religious status and wards and department are able to request visits for specific patients by leaving details on an answering machine. Specific weekly services are carried out within the Chapel on Saturdays and Sundays and at all other times it is available as a place of solitude and for quiet private prayer. The room is available 24 hours per day for those of other faiths and has recently been able to provide a quiet prayer room not far from the Chapel.  Within the room there are no religious symbols and early reports show that it has been well received and used by other faiths for prayer and contemplation
