We are a team of speech and language therapists who specialise in treating communication and swallowing disorders.
Patients receive an assessment and diagnosis and are trained in how to manage a variety of communications and swallowing disorders. Patients are seen in community clinics, hospitals, at home and in nursing and residential homes.
Treatment can include one-to-one or group therapy, carer support, and\or phone review and advice. The team provides training programmes, including improving communication post-stroke, feeding difficulties in dementia, communication and dementia, the recognition and safe management of swallowing problems and voice problems.
We specialise in acquired neurological disorders, older adult mental health, voice, head and neck oncology, dysphagia, and stammering. All therapists work in partnership with colleagues in general medicine, community neuro-rehabilitation and older adult mental health.
