The role of NHS England (Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire) is to ensure patients and the public are at the heart of everything we do and to improve outcomes for patients across the local area. As well as carrying out local functions for NHS England, such as commissioning primary care, NHS England (Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire) is responsible for offender and armed forces health regionally. We support clinical leaders at every level of the NHS from Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) and networks and senates to within NHS England itself and in providers, helping them to make informed decisions, spend the taxpayers’ money wisely and provide high quality services. In addition we work with other local organisations such as Public Health England, the NHS Trust Development Agency, local authorities and Health Education East Midlands.
