Extra Care Appointments
Evening and weekend appointments are now available with GP's for routine pre-booked services. CBC supports General Practices in Gateshead to improve access to primary care services. This includes making appointments available at times that are convenient to patients.
Newcaste and Gateshead Clinical Commissioning Group has arranged for additional appointments to be provided outside of normal GP practice hours by CBC Health.
The service offers pre-bookable, routine primary care appointments with a GP. The service is run from Central Gateshead Health Centre and Blaydon Primary Care Centre.
Monday - Friday 8.00am - 8.00pm
Saturday and Sunday 9.00am - 2.00pm
To book an appointment you must first contact your own GP practice. An appointment must be booked in advance of visiting the extended hours service.
Note that when you arrive for your appointment the clinician providing your care will ask you for your consent to access your detailed GP record. Should you need to cancel or re-arrange your appointment please contact your GP practice.
Please be aware these clinics cannot be used to obtain sick notes, an extension of your sick note, if you are due a medication review, or if you have an existing on-going issue that your GP is aware of.
