Healthaction Childwall General Practice is a not for profit primary care service provided by Addaction, a registered charity. We deliver primary care, general practice and community services in the UK.

Our team is dedicated to your continued good health; we approach your care with professionalism, discretion and friendliness. We hope that you can count on a warm welcome from everyone involved here at the practice.

Out of hours

The Out of Hours Team are available when the surgery is closed. Please ring 0151 295 9300 anytime Monday to Sunday - Calls made before 8am or after 6:30pm any day will be re-directed to the Out of Hours Team. 

Please ensure you order your repeat/acute medication in advance of Bank Holiday closures.

Normal GP Surgery opening times is 8am - 6:30pm Mon - Fri

Please note, we are not open at Weekends or National Bank Holidays .

The surgery will be closed for staff training and meetings on the last Wednesday of every month from 13:00pm.

In the event of an EMERGENCY, the Practice are required to release health information to other services such as HospitalS, District Nurses and Community Matrons. This information is in the strictest confidence. The Practice will release your medication, any allergies and problems that you have. Patients do have the Choice of Opting out if they so wish. Please ask at reception for details. Thank you  

Bloods bloods can now be taken at Childwall Fiveways Medical Centre - 1st Floor Community Reception any weekday Mon - Fri from 8:30am - 12:00 noon. Last ticket will be available up to 12:00 noon. No Appointment required, just turn up, take a ticket and take a seat. Your number will be called.

The Shingles vac is available for patients that are eligable, aged 70, 78 or 79. Please make your appointment today. Thank you.

Our Midwife is available on site every Thursday morning. Ring reception on 0151 295 9300 for an appointment. 

Free advice and information service based in local Health Centres.

This service is based in health centres across Liverpool and gives all GPs and their practice teams access to a dedicated CAB adviser who will focus on their patients’ practical needs.

The service is a support option for General Practitioners (GPs) to help their vulnerable patients who are in the need of advice and support in relation to non-medical problems, i.e. issues that are impacting on their health but are difficult to address.

Any patient who is ill and / or vulnerable to mental distress can be referred for help with non-medical matters such as:

  • Welfare benefits
  • Debt management 
  • Housing matters
  • Employments issues
  • Utility issues
  • Debt problems
  • Completion of application forms

Patient Online Access - Patients can now register for Patient Online Access for :- Booking their own Appointments, Requesting their repeat Medications and accessing a summary of their own medical records. All details are available at reception on request. You will need 2 forms of identification to apply.
