Service details
LCAS provides a city wide service for residents of Liverpool. We work in the acute hospitals and community bases providing support and treatment interventions to individuals with an alcohol problem. The team aims to help individuals manage the amount they drink, or even help them stop drinking altogether if they choose. The team will work with individuals to develop a personal plan that will support them through care and treatment.

The service works across a range of conditions linked to alcohol dependency, from people with a serious illness caused by alcohol to people who are borderline dependent. We can help you establish the severity of your dependency and work with you to develop a care plan that is right for you. LCAS supports inpatient and community-based detoxification programmes for people requiring a medical detoxification programme.

If you are a friend, relative or carer of someone you suspect of having an alcohol problem you can also access LCAS for free and confidential advice.
General notes
The Liverpool Community Alcohol Service provides 75 weekly community clinics across the five neighbourhood areas of Liverpool. The nature of your treatment and individual choice will determine the location of your clinic. Clinic locations include GP surgeries and community health centres.
