Phoning the ward - comment added Apr 17

My Father was transferred from the AAU ward to ward 70 and as I live in a different part of the country I needed to contact the ward to find out exactly what was wrong with my him as I was so worried. I phoned the ward six times no answer. I kept trying and finally at 10pm that night someone answered telling me to phone back in the morning as they could not give me any information concerning my Father. Whilst I appreciate that they are so busy surely someone could have given me the time of day just to let me know what was wrong with him and how they were going to treat him. It is so frustrating and worrying not knowing. What else can you do? I will try again tomorrow but I expect it will be the same as today.
