Ieso digital health offers live, confidential one-to-one cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) with a therapist via secure instant messaging on a computer, tablet or smartphone.

All Ieso therapists are accredited to the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Therapies (BABCP), and are trained in providing online therapy. The therapy sessions are in a written format, so you can review them at a later time.

Who is it suitable for?

Ieso is available to anyone with common mental health problems, such as depression, anxiety, pain management, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), phobias and stress. You do not have to have been previously diagnosed and it doesn't matter whether your symptoms are mild, moderate or severe.

Ieso may not be suitable for some people aged under 18, people who have thoughts of taking their own life, or for people who are already doing a course of therapy.

How do I access it?

If you have been referred or you have referred yourself, you will be sent an email with instructions on how to set up your online therapy account. You will then be matched with a suitable therapist, who will securely message you to introduce themselves and arrange your first appointment.

You can arrange appointments at a time that’s convenient for you, including evenings and weekends.

You should get access to a therapist within two days.

Will I have to pay?

Therapy with an Ieso therapist is free for NHS patients in some areas. You can either refer yourself or ask your GP or another healthcare professional to refer you.
