I applied to go on Monday 26/06/23 for repeat prescription to be sent to the pharmacy like normal. It's 04/07/23 now and still no text. I had it confirmed by doctors that it'd been sent, they said it was sent 27/06/23 yet there's no sign of it so I've run out of two of my medicines. Like others, I'll be looking at changing to a hopefully much more reliable pharmacy. I've spent over 3 hours so far calling the Tyneside number but keep being told we haven't been able to connect your call! Things started off ok but the last few times have been hopeless, takes over a week once the prescription has been sent, I arrive and it's not all ready at all and finally I have to return to pick things up that are out of stock. They might be part of the biggest supermarket but unfortunately they're certainly not best by any means. I appreciate that the staff try but overall the service is terrible and appears to be getting worse. I think Tesco's have bitten off more than they can chew all for the sake of a few quid. Chemists should all be independents in my opinion, like in days gone by but that isn't going to happen, is it!? When anyone is prescribed medication it's for a reason and some, like mine are for long term conditions that need constant treatment. So far it's two days without and I'm wondering how much longer it'll be before I have to go to a+e. I'm not a happy bunny but aside of changing pharmacy, what are you expected to do? I very much doubt I'll get a reply from Tesco but id love to know why they think their service has gone so badly downhill.
