  1. Review titled Poor service

I have always given Stephens at least two weeks to get my prescription filled. I have several items monthly. The prescription is never ready. I have had excuses such as “We have only just got it in” Or “It’s not ready” I have been asked to call back on numerous occasions which is very hard for me as I am in severe pain. I have also been told that I have too many items on my prescription. And also I have left a prescription in too long despite having asked for it twice and been told 1. It’s not ready and 2. It’s with your other prescriptions. Somehow the staff always make it out that it’s my fault. So I’m leaving Stephenson for Tesco. They give a much better professional service as experienced by other members of my family. I cannot be dealing with the stress of their incompetence any longer

  2. Review titled Rapidly gone downhill

This used to be a great pharmacy, with polite apologetic, helpful staff, with repeat prescriptions 90% available on time. I was only too happy to come back another day if my repeat prescription was not ready when it was busy, but now it has got beyond a joke. It should not be a regular expectation with a 100% guarantee of it not being ready, despite giving them more than 2 weeks since the my doctors sent the prescription through. The staff have changed attitudes and become very rude, with a tone that always suggests that it is the patients fault and that we are not giving them enough time (despite two weeks notice - more than the requested amount of time they ask for). They are not a helpful team anymore, but extremely rude and treat people as an inconvenience, they are not functioning as an efficient repeat prescription pharmacy any longer. Like everyone who needs regular medication in order for their health to remain at a good level, it has become a stressful experience not knowing when or if my medication will be ready, medication that saves my life. I have now moved pharmacies to the local Tesco supermarket. They are beyond helpful , the medication is ready within 3 days of being sent from the doctors and they even have basic manners. It was such a delight when they smiled and said thank you, something such as basic manners should not come as a shock but it did. Im sad to no longer be supporting my local pharmacy, but when they can’t support me any longer, what little choice do I have. Most of my views and experiences of Stephens, have often been agreed with whilst talking to other customers in the now very long queues, and just before I switched pharmacies, I suggested that they do the same.

  3. Review titled No patient focus

Rated 1 star out of 5

2 weeks ago I requested my repeat prescription of HRT Patches from GP the prescription to be sent to Stephens Pharmacy. On 16th the pharmacy knew they could not fulfill my prescription. Today the 26th I went to collect it and was told they couldn’t get any. Why not ring me on the 16th??? We’re too busy was my answer. Disgraceful non caring, the pharmacist and assistant were quite jovial about sending me away to search around for other pharmacy’s when I’m disabled too. I’m so disgusted I’m never going there again what a joke.
