  1. Review titled Poor customer service and lack of information

Yesterday I went to pick up a prescription for my dad. When I arrived at the door there was a notice that said closed for a lunch hour on the door. This is fine if they need an hour for lunch (something most people don't get the luxury of) but it would be nice if they had put on the notice, when the lunch hour starts and end so that people who have to drive in and pay for parking, will have an idea if they can wait for the opening. Fortunately I guessed that it was likely that the hour was nearly up so I waited. It finally opened 7 minutes after the hour. I handed the prescription over and was told it would be ready in two and a half hours. There was no way my dad could sit waiting in the car for that time, so I had to take him home and and come back later that day. When I came back later that day to get the prescription, I was told that only part of the prescription could be fulfilled. I except that a pharmacy can't carry every thing that may be needed but this meant that would have to take a third journey to Ludlow (tomorrow) to collect the rest of the prescription. To make sure that I could drive down get prescription and get on with the many pressing engagements I have, I asked them when would the prescription be ready? Eventually I managed to get out of them that it would be delivered at 11 am, but they would not give a time to pick it up. The next day came. I then had to guess a time to come and collect the prescription. I thought 2.30 would be a fair time to pick it up. But I was wrong. They said I would have to wait another three quarters of an hour to pick up to the rest of the prescription because it had not been done yet. Considering it was only one item (which was a cream) I don't see why it could not be delt with there and then. So I left pharmacy for a third time to hang around for three quarters of an hour. As you can imagine my mood was not great when I went back. But finally I got the whole of the prescription. It is true, when I finally took the prescription I did not say thank you (but I did not snatch it either) the shop worker thought it was their place to lecturer me on saying thank you. I do say thank you but only when I receive reasonable customer service, which this was certainly not. The shop worker should not have commented as she knew haw many times I had come back to the pharmacy just to collect one perscription and how far I had to come. Poor service, poor service indeed.
