    A pharmacy that has expanded but cannot cope!!! Prescriptions rarely ready for collection always being asked to return to collect later. The explanation they had 600 prescriptions to do and I had to wait my turn. The prescription was with them 36 hours already. Totally understand were all human with limits but this pharmacy has a robotic system in place. This pharmacy is paid for by the NHS to support the community without us there would be no business. Good luck in improving your services.

However, there are instances when the volume of prescriptions exceeds our immediate capacity, which can lead to longer wait times. Regarding your prescription, it is our standard practice to require 48 hours from the receipt of a prescription to ensure thorough and accurate processing. This time frame is in place to allow our pharmacists to review each prescription carefully, check for potential interactions or issues and, if necessary, order specific items that may not be in stock. In cases where items need to be ordered, the additional time is essential to ensure that you receive the correct medication. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused you, especially if you came to collect your prescription at the 36-hour mark. We understand that your time is valuable, and we aim to minimise wait times as much as possible while maintaining the highest standards of patient care. Regarding the explanation you received about the high number of prescriptions to process, we acknowledge that our pharmacy has grown to serve a larger community. While we have implemented automated systems to manage prescription orders efficiently, there can still be times when we face a surge in demand, which can result in delays. We are continuously working on optimising our processes to better cope with such situations.
