    I was collecting a prescription and was given a free blood pressure test and discussion about lifestyle choices to help stay healthy, which was unexpected and very good. The service at the pharmacy is always very good.

    After a doctor's referral to the hospital to have my blood pressure monitored it transpired no appointments were available there for many weeks. How very convenient it was to have seen the senior pharmacist at Mortimer Pharmacy and to have a blood pressure monitor put onto my arm for the required hours. The entire procedure was efficient and done with explanations and care. I am most grateful.

    Staff at the pharmacy are always so friendly and helpful, even at busy times. I had my flu jab today and was offered blood pressure checks too. A prescription item wasn't available but they were helpful in identifying other pharamacys I could try and suggesting they themselves would have it back in soon.

    I needed some emergency medication (on repeat prescription) and contacted 111. They directed me to this pharmacy because it was closest to my location. The first time the electron referral was sent, I was told this could not be found on the system because 111 had not sent a prescription. However, I could have the medication but it would cost me £11.50 per item (I needed meds for a couple of days and have an exemption certificate). I could avoid this charge if 111 sent what was needed. I called 111 back to let them know the issue and they sent the referral again. They confirmed they had sent what was needed for a second time and that it was not a prescription request but a Pharm+ electronic referral. I called the pharmacy back. Again, I was told the referral could not be found and 111 needed to send a prescription (which they don’t do). I confirmed that the pharmacy accepted pharmacy+ referrals but the person I spoke was still insisting my referral was not found after being sent twice and tried to charge me with my exception certificate… Overall, disappointing, frustrating and very unhelpful! Will not be attempting to use this service again.
