    I’ve booked my covid booster with them as they are my local pharmacy. I was really ill with covid last time (after 3jabs) to the point i needed to call 111 and have been given inhaler. I have allergies and have been told by the doctor that i could develop astma as i do have issues with breathing occassionally. I have explained all that but the man refused to give me a booster.. Eventho they do walk in later in the day for an hour or so and likely they will end up throwing some of the vaccination as not that many people even want it these days! They had all the times in the day available which only confirma there is not much interest at this point. I was shocked.. wasted my time and then had to travel to a different pharmacy in Canning Town where they offer boosters to anyone and any time! Just walked in no queue no problem.. just took my name, date od birth and said It’s new Pfizer targeting omicron. Should have went there straight away instead of wasting time at Lansbury! Also it is beyond me how every pharmacy follows different rules and where at one u can walk in any time and get jab no issue and others like Lansbury.. you need to have underlying conditions or queue for an hour and not even know if u will be able to get it at the end..

    Dear Patient, We are sorry to hear about your poor experience. Due to the high standards that we impose on ourselves, we follow the guidelines every time, all the time. Being a valuable resource, the NHS has set targeted eligibility criteria for the COVID winter booster program to prioritise protection to the most vulnerable in our society. As such, currently, not everyone is eligible to receive the new booster. That said, we are mindful there will be other providers who may have a different interpretation of the guidelines. Inevitably, this will make us look inflexible when in fact, we are absolutely following the regulations down to a T and to maintain the highest standards the public rightly expect our profession to uphold. As a barometer, attested by our high standards of professionalism, Lansbury Pharmacy has been handpicked by the local public health commissioners to run a vaccination clinic at the London Borough of Tower Hamlets headquarters last month. Whenever we are unable to vaccinate we will be explain the reasoning and signpost to NHS 119 for vaccine queries.     I enjoy visiting my local chemist to get my repeat prescriptions. They are friendly with a smile, and always quick and efficient.
